Location: Saddlebrooke, Tucson & Southern Arizona, Arizona, USA
Accommodations: House, 2 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4)
Poco Lane may be a quiet "poco" street but this 2BR gem of a house offers a "muy grande" feel. Vaulted ceilings in the living room, with a high window view of magnificent Samaniego Peak, create a spacious atmosphere for all of the activities that can be enjoyed in a great room. Whether it’s cooking up a meal in the fully-equipped kitchen, dining at the cheerful bay window, surfing the web on your laptop at the roll top desk, or just curling up in front of the cozy fireplace and watching a movie on the widescreen TV, there is space for all.
Music or radio can follow you wherever you go—or not—through adjustable room speakers. If you like to dine al fresco, a gas barbeque and covered patio dining area allow you to watch the changing colors of our mild desert evenings. Stay up even later and see millions of stars in the Milky Way form a canopy overhead!
The spacious Master Bedroom makes a quiet retreat for reading a good book or taking a mid-day nap. Double sinks in the master bath, a large walk-in closet and sizeable shower provide plenty of elbow room for getting ready to tackle some of Saddlebrooke’s fantastic activities. Poco Lane is a five minute walk to the Saddlebrooke clubhouse for dining, tennis, golf, swimming, the gym, bocce ball, dance lessons, a game of bridge… or just settling into a deep leather chair in the library by the fireplace.
After exercise, you’re only a one minute walk to the mini-mart to reward yourself with an ice cream! If you’d like to swim or play a round of golf at one of the other three fabulous clubhouses, just hop in the electric golf cart and enjoy the open air and wide streets, knowing you're doing your “green” part to keep our skies blue. Keep your eyes open for darting roadrunners, white-tail deer and javalinas!
Got visiting guests or grand-kids? A second bedroom offers two guest beds and a separate bathroom and shower. All linens are provided and there is an in-house laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing facilities. Your rental includes full access to all of Saddlebrooke’s recreational amenities at all four clubhouses, including events at the new Desert View Theater, dog park, pickleball courts and softball field. The best of Tucson, Tombstone, and the Ol’ West are just outside your door.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
We are transplanted Californians who vowed we’d never live in the desert! We’ve now lived here four years and thank our lucky stars that we are here. Gary’s day begins by walking 100 steps to the local Dancing Horse Ranch where he volunteers as a ranch hand. Who’d have thought a city boy with an engineering background would be so happy shoveling manure and feeding horses? He also takes long hikes with a crazy buddy, bikes, and plays basketball. Dorothy likes “those shorter hikes”, pickle ball, line dancing and volunteers at Kids Closet. We both love to read and are avid Netflix buffs.
Why the Owner Chose Saddlebrooke
We fell in love with Saddlebrooke the moment we crested the hill and descended into the embracing arms of the magnificent Catalina mountains. The 3500 ft. elevation here brings cool breezes in the summer and snow-capped mountains in the winter. And nowhere have we experienced friendlier residents. Everyone here looks happy-- now we know why. There are so many choices—from physical activities like golf and tennis, to mental pursuits such as book clubs, lectures, live concerts and computer classes. There are well over a hundred clubs here which all welcome visitors. We never get tired of seeing the scampering wildlife. And where else can you step over a back wall and within minutes be surrounded by the amazing saguaro cactus gardens of the Sonoran desert? No matter what we do, it is always nice to come home to our comfortable, well-built Robson house. We hope that will be your feeling on Poco Lane.
