Whilst this spacious cottage is distinctly 'Old Florida,' prior guests say the accommodations are to Ritz standards. There is even a new 50' wide-screen TV & high-speed Internet.
Fish from your own dock. Use of new tandem kayak and two bicycles are both included. You can enjoy more than 8 miles of boat-able water perfect for fishing or a casual paddle to the famous Linger Lodge for lunch or dinner.
If you're a golfer, there is great golf at Tara Preserve Golf Course, a mile away.
You'll be convenient to shopping and transportation yet, when you walk through the door and see the spectacular, unspoiled river views from all the living areas you'll feel like you're a world away.

Really nice! Small, but well done. Perfect for a couple. There is everything you might want in the house. They had more "stuff" in the house than we do at home. We had a wonderful stay. The owners, Al and Carol are nearbye and very nice. The river and wildlife will relax the most aggressive type "A". We were there for a month and were never bored. We will definately try to return.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

The sign in the River Cottage says "Another Day in Paradise" and it couldn't be more true. Never 100% sure of what you might get when booking through the internet, we can attest that the photos are completely accurate of the accommodations here. Every need has been met and the River Cottage is charming and welcoming in a truly special way. We are city dwellers but have been completely seduced by the life on the river. The waterfowl are a constant source of amusement and there is nothing more peaceful than watching the sunset over the river. Even on rainy days the place is warm and inviting. The only caveat for potential renters is that the bedrooms are small (as disclosed in the property info) and hanging and storage space (i.e.for luggage) are a tad limited - there is more than enough drawer space The owners live nearby and take superb care of this lovely little home. We have only good things to report about this rental. You would not be disappointed if you choose to spend time here at River Cottage.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Our third visit to the Old Florida River cottage and we are aleady planning to return next year. The cottage keeps drawing us back. It is an oasis of calm with stunning river views and abundance of wild life. Breakfast on the deck as the dawn breaks and the river comes alive is a sight that will remain with us as we return home re energised. Thanks must also go to the owners Al and Carol who always make us feel so welcome. You will not be disappointed!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
