Our 3500 square foot, three level home is located down a private lane in a wooded area on the clean and clear Peshtigo river. The property is 3.8 acres, and has a fire pit area with a picnic table and a stocked woodshed, and you can swimming/canoe/kayak on the river. The water frontage is 220'.
Swimmers/waders enjoy a sand bottom river. Swimmers do not have to worry about the "lake itch" that is found on some lakes in Wisconsin, as this condition is not found on fresh rivers such as this part of the Peshtigo. There is room to park two cars in the driveway, and two cars in the garage.
The garage has an entrance to the lower level, bathroom with shower, a large living area with a gas fireplace, stereo, TV and DVD and table and chairs and treadmill. The main level has a large eat-in kitchen stocked with linens, dishes cookware, microwave, appliances, and dishwasher; a living room with a gas fireplace and the stairs to the loft area, and a pull out double couch; a full bath with tub/shower; two bedrooms, one with a single and full bed, and the second with a full bed; a laundry/mud entrance room.
The third level has a loft with books, a TV/DVD and small sitting area, a desk, and a third large bedroom with a double bed. The deck off of the kitchen has a gas grill, and a hot tub.

- Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details : Great depth for children to wade in summer months, and for individuals who want to swim, go to the right side of the property (from the water) until you reach swimming depth. No quick dropoffs. Sand bottom starts about 10' from shore, and is great for swimming for children. 17' canoe with paddles and a variety of sizes of life jackets is available at no extra cost. Also have a kayak, and a play kayak available at no extra cost.

- No Pets Allowed : Sorry, due to wildlife nesting and eating on our land.
- Kid Friendly : House is great for children. Woods and water for play. Small children will need to be monitored by river, near open hot tub (when it is not locked), and near fire pit. Many children have stayed at this location, and they love it!
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters : Age 24 and older for adults who are signing the contract. Individuals of all ages welcome.

Year Purchased: 1998
Julie and Stacie sell antiques and vintage in a gift shop in Crivitz. Julie is a manager at the Cerebral Palsy Center in Green Bay, WI, and Stacie is a lecturer in the Human Development/Psych and Adult Program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, WI. The owners have lived in this home for 12 years.
Why the Owner Chose Crivitz
We bought this home due to its recreation and relaxation opportunities and its near proximity to Green Bay, where we primarily lived at that time. The home offers a lot of fun and choices for family and friends who come to stay overnight frequently. We all love to swim, kayak, canoe, cross-country ski, river raft, hike, bike and catch and release game fish. We can do all of that here on our property, and can travel 8 miles to Lake Noquabey for boating, water-ski shows and a sand beach. We enjoy the dining, shopping, and recreational options in Crivitz and Marinette.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
We are located on a sandy portion of the river, which offers wading and swimming opportunities. This portion of the Peshtigo river is so gentle, we are able to canoe/kayak upstream, and do not have to portage. We enjoy wildlife including eagles, wood ducks, hawks, turkeys, fawns and deer, sand hill cranes, blue herons, beaver and otter and frogs and turtles. We catch and release fish, primarily smallmouth bass, but neighbors have caught trout, northern, pan fish, and others. We have a hot tub on our deck, where we can watch pilated woodpeckers, downy and hairy woodpeckers, indigo buntings, hummingbirds, and other birds. Our house offers three levels of living, so there is plenty of space for friends and family to gather, but still have some personal space. The large kitchen on the main floor is connected to a large deck which has a gas grill. Guests can enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining. Our cabin has two indoor gas fireplaces, one on the first lower level in a large recreational/living area, and the other on the main floor in the living room. The main floor has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a laundry/mud room, a living room, and a large eat-in kitchen. The loft on the third floor has a large bedroom, and an sitting area with a TV and DVD player with a view of the woods. The lower level has a TV, DVD player, stereo, dining table and living area, a bath with a shower, and a treadmill. The property is laid out in three sections: the cabin and the deck area with a short walk to the picnic/fire pit area, and a path to the river area. You can not see the river from the property, but each section is special and relaxing in its own way.
