Why the Owner Chose Manzanita
Manzanita is a quiet town - it's off the highway, and adjacent to a beautiful, wild beach. To the north is Oswald West State Park, famous for its old growth forest and surfing, and Neahkahnie Mountain, rising 1600 feet out of the sea. To the south is Nehalem Bay State Park, with walking paths, a boat launch and the only fly-in park campground in America! East of here are the charming villages of Nehalem and Wheeler, Nehalem Bay and the Nehalem River. We are the jewel of Oregon!

In March 2011 we spent two nights of our honeymoon at M&M's Getaway Cottage. The town of Manzanita is charming, and we couldn't have picked a more delightful place to stay! The cottage was peaceful, quiet, spacious, clean, well maintained and very reasonably priced. The property manager was a gracious host and provided us with many recommendations for things to do and places to eat (if you're in the area definitely plan on having breakfast at Wanda's in nearby Nehalem). She even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us to help us celebrate! We truly felt comfortable and at home during our stay. We will be looking forward to revisiting the M&M Getaway Cottage ... not only because it will remind us of a very special time, but because it was truly a wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Manzanita! Dave and Maria

Our family (our adult kids and 2 grand-babies) loved staying in this cabin for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. It is very clean, and much more spacious and lovelier than I had anticipated after viewing their photos. It is nicely decorated, and very homey! We liked the location: it is close to the beach and the town shops, but is also on a wooded, peaceful, quiet street. The owners are very nice, informative, and helpful, and we had a fun time! We hope to return soon!!! They did not have a portable little crib or highchair, so we brought our own. Other than that they had everything you need, including a well-stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds.
