The house of Dos Aguilas (Two Eagles) is located about fifteen minutes from French Harbor and a half hours drive from the air-port. There is a private road that leads to our lovely home which is surrounded by beautiful flowers and fruit trees all of which are available to the guests during their stay.
The View is breath takingly beautiful and visitors have spent hours just sitting or laying in a hammock enjoying the incredible view,ocean breeze high above the village, and the advantage of being away from the sand fleas.
One additional features is that on occasion you are close enough to hear the surf as it hits the shores below. There is a local "swimming hole" in the village that the locals use and you are welcome to enjoy should you feel the need to take a dip in the salt water. The house is facing the East so you are able to enjoy the magic of sun, and moon rises. As darkness falls on the villages down the coast their lights are like twinkling stars turned into a Christmas scene as it waits for you to take pleasure in them.
Enjoying the beauty and glow of the sun set has a pleasure all it's own as the skies fill with different shades of pink. All you need to complete the atmosphere, and mood in the evening is a refreshing drink in your hand. It's amazing how you will hardly want to move from the verandas as you enjoy watching the activities of the local boats coming and going as they zip around from village to village in the pristine waters below. Our home which has 4,000.00 square feet of living area in the house & 3,000.00 square feet of additional space that includes a three car garage,a seperate apartment with full kitchen and several covered verandas. We have a pool that has a three foot play area and slopes to eight feet... You can take a dip when ever the urge gets to you by just stepping out the door, or lay in one of the hammocks & let the breeze gently sway you to sleep as you relax in the shade. Lounging pool side listening to the waterfall as it goes into the pool is both relaxing and allows those who take pleasure in soaking up the sun bring out that wonderful tan you want to go home with. Or you can turn on the pool side speakers which can be piped down from the entertainment room and listen to your choice of music.
If you want tranquility and a lot of rest and relaxation then The House of Two Eagles is definitely the place for you.
We are not too far from great places to eat should you want a night out. The kids will love to hear that a Wendy's just opened on the island with play area and all. We have several nice places to visit, ..& explore here on the island which include beautiful beaches close by. We now have our first Mall where you can shop,& where you will also find Applebee's and a Disco for dancing the night away.
Close by is the NEW Herby's Sports bar in French Harbor at Pineapple Villa's...they have 31large flat screen t.v.'s and a lot of activity. At night there is disco music and a local band on the week-ends. A great place to meet a mix of visitors and islanders...Especially for big events from around the world.
For your dining pleasure they have the Steak House...
If you want to work out they also have a Spa and Health club with weights, bikes and tread mills...day, week, monthly rates are available.
Our island is groaning and with it comes all the activities that one enjoys as "home"...and yet you have the pleasure of island living.
We look forward to welcoming guest to our island...for sure once you visit us you'll fall in love like we did and you'll be back....year after year. There aren't many islands that take care of their reef the way we on Roatan do...it is our pride and joy. It's just waiting for you to come take a look as you rest, relax, and just enjoy the island and it's people...

- Air Conditioning : There are air conditioners in all four bed-rooms. Do to the tropical breeze at our home we usually have no need for air-conditioning.

- Dryer : Covered clothes lines & pins are provided at the lower lever of the house for your use. For a small fee the caretakers wife will hang, take down and fold them for you. We do have a dryer if needed.

- Catering Available : A Chef is available upon request at an additional fee. Reservations need to be made at the time of booking. Price to be quoted between you and the chief . Which would depend on type of food you want, how many people, meals per day, & how many days you want the service.

- Gas/Electric BBQ Grill : Weber Gas Grill with filled propane tank.
- Deck/Patio : Open & covered verandas on different levels of the home. FYI: there are lounge chairs, & pads for sun bathing by the pool or they can be taken upstairs at your request. There is a table and six chairs off the kitchen for your pleasure. An additional table and four chairs are also on the pool veranda. A swing on the pool level is also provided with 10 additional chairs that can be moved to other areas by the care taker.
- Balcony : All the verandas are private...and are only for the use of our guests.
- View/Location
- Beachfront : In the village below you are welcome to use what we call the "local swimming hole"...It's a fun place to go to take a dip in the sea if that is your desire. The villagers are most welcoming to our guests. It's just a short drive down the hill to the foot bridge.
- Beach View : There is a local swimming area in the village below where we take our sea dips...
- Ocean View : Spectacular Views of the coast line & villages below...on a clear day the mainland & the island of Guanaja can be seen...Watching the boats coming & going in and out of the bite is interesting.
- Water View : Unobstructed...you can see forever...
- Mountain View : Rolling hill all around for viewing. On a clear day you can see the Mainland...breathtaking...for sure. We are surrounded by jungle which has a beauty all it's own.
- Golf Course View : We don't have a view of the golf course but it is first class and well worth got over for a visit if only to just take a look see & some pictures...Have you ever seen grass using salt water to keep the greens?..We have it.
- Communications
- Cell Phone : A cell phone is provided during your stay & will have 100 minutes included, sometimes more . You can dial direct to the U.S. from this phone which isn't as costly as if you used your own.
- Computer : Stick provided for your use while you are occupying my home (access paid in advance by me) so you can use your lap top during your stay...
- Other Amenities
- I stock the refrigerator for my guest with the following breakfast items to welcome you: 1- quart of orange juice, 1- carton of milk, 1- loaf of bread,1- stick of butter, & 1- dozen fresh eggs from the local farm,. You are also welcome to any fresh fruit we have on the property that are in season during your stay... Limes, Bananas, papaya, & plantains. Just ask the care taker if anything is available. You will have total Privacy as we do not have any close neighbors, The Great room has a full Bar for entertaining, We have two Jacuzzi tubs, one double and one single. The master bath also has a seperate shower. There is a caretaker/watchman, 24/7, Covered verandas, Formal dining room, Entertainment (TV) Room, There are two full kitchens. The sound system (Speakers) are wired in the great room/bar area, down by the pool, and in the master bedroom as well as the TV. room for your listening pleasure.

- The Iguana Farm is a wonderful place to visit, especially for the children...Gilindo Park is a nice adventure where you can interact with the McCaws and monkeys. At Anthony's Key Resort you can swim or dive with the dolphins, an incredible experience. Our new 75 Million Dollar Carnival/Princess dock is amazing to see & shop at when the ship is in. The Golf course is up & running & well worth a look see. We have a brand new shopping mall with interesting shops to roam around in. Our beaches & reef are the most incredible any where bar none, well worth the drive to which ever one suits your needs. You will find some are packed with cruise ship visitors, & tourist, others are way out of the way from everyone & you will be the only one there enjoying the sun & surf. Of all the tropical places I have ever visited in the world this island is by far the very best, we have 4 Zip lines . That's why we live here. Why the Owner Chose Jonesville Point
We first arrived on Roatan for a (dive) vacation 27 years ago when it was nothing more than a wonderful dive destination and fell in love with it's beauty and warm friendly people. When we became aware that the Honduran government opened the country to foreigners allowing them to purchase property out right we made a bee line down here and searched for the perfect location. We didn't want to be around a lot of people, nor sand fleas, so we picked a spot out on a point, high on a beautiful hill over looking several villages. On a clear day we can see the main land and one of our sister islands, Guanaja...The sun rise wakes us every morning, and on a moon light night she reflects and dances on the waters like the silver beauty she is. The home was built with a lot of thought and TLC. My husband has several requirements and so did I. He wanted an office, built in bar for entertaining, and a pool. I wanted a Jacuzzi tub (we have two) and a kitchen with windows facing the sea and lots of beautiful fruit tree and flowers...we have it all. The house was more than what a little girl growing up in a two room apartment in a poor area of Chicago could have ever dreamed of, or wished for. The thought of selling this wonderful home at one time was more than I could deal with at first, but what must be must be...
We have come to realize that as much as we would like we don't always have control of our lives.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I do believe that our view is one of the best on all of Roatan...having the seclusion, peace, and tranquility that we experienced living there has a way of bringing joy to ones soul. Having the pool right out side the door we found to be the frosting on the cake. The size of the rooms, with their high ceilings, and openness all the windows and doors provide leaves an enormous feeling of freedom, which is hard to find any where else on the island. The house is furnished beyond what peoples need. There is a 24/7 care taker who assists with the guests personal requirements, from binging in your suit cases, to washing the car, and helping bring in the groceries or other packages. We have a generator which is a blessing when/if the power goes out. All the water in our house is treated and drinkable from every faucet. We have two hot water heaters so there is no need to tolerate a cold shower. We have a 16 foot satellite dish with three TVs. One in the great room, the entertainment room and the master bed room.
A maid is close by if one wants to use her services at a low reasonable additional fee.

My husband and I retired to Roatan eleven years ago and built a beautiful home large enough to accommodate not only us but our growing family of seven children, their spouses, 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. We both loved diving so we looked for a place where we could have a boat and go diving when ever the mood hit us.
Our lives changed a few years ago due to illness, (cancer). One of our daughters (my step-daughter) was diagnosed with breast cancer which has also affected her liver, bones and other parts of her body so we decided that my husband should spend more time in the states so he could assist her and her family as long as he is needed. By the grace of God she is still with us but I am here on the island most of the time alone and I no longer find the joy we use to share together in this big beautiful home that we both love.
I reluctantly sold our dive boat because it wasn't safe for me to be out running around on the sea by myself.
One day a gentleman I'd met here on the island asked me if I would consider renting my home to him & his family for two months which I did,and I moved into a condo. I haven't returned to the house as I have decided to continue renting the house & have it occupied until the right buyer comes along.
It's a lovely home to visit which I often do when it is not rented just because of the tranquility I find there.
On February 5th 2010 our daughter lost her battle with cancer...We now have our home on the market. Some lucky buyer will be able to enjoy this lovely piece of paradise the same way we have...We all have dreams of living the good life...now you just need to step up and live it. If only for a week or two.
