We had a wonderful time at the cabin. What a view!!!!! The Owners went out of their way to make you feel wanted through our phone conversations prior to our trip. The cabin was well equipped and very clean. On our stay we went to Spruce Knob look out and to Cass railroad. The other couples that went along were never there before, so we had a hard time leaving the view. We are looking forward to next year. Thank you Ed

The house is well layed out; beautiful from every room. The hot tub and the view are amazing. The cabin is secluded but close to everything- Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob. We ate at the Gateway restaurant just at the bottom of the hill; it was very cute but they only take cash. We will surely return. Very clean and the owner was helpful and great to work with. We loved it!!!!

This is a beautiful, clean, well-furnished cabin near the top of Spruce Knob mountain in West Virginia. We took our two kids (8 and 11) out there to go hiking in the area - including up Seneca Rocks. They loved it - and they also enjoyed Seneca Caverns (which is modest compared to Luray - but still fun for the kids). The cabin itself was super clean and the kitchen seemed brand new. The view - as noted in the other reviews - is amazing. You definitely feel very secluded up in the cabin and there is no cell phone service. We all had a great time sitting in the hot tub and hanging around the campfire. There really isn't much around in terms of stores/groceries - so bring your food/beverages and anything else you might need. We'd definitely go again, and would highly recommend this to others - for a family getaway or a romantic retreat. Thanks!

I LOVE this place, so far away from everything it really takes you into tranquility. The view is the best, couldn't take enough pictures (not that they ever do it justice anyway). The owners are really nice and were always a call away with the answers to our questions. The house was spotless and beautifully designed, I can't wait to go back and bring others. Wouldn't recommend this driveway for bikers, it's long, uphill and all gravel, but WELL worth the stay!!

We had an amazing time at the cabin. The cabin and surroundings itself were beautiful and everything we could have asked for but we also enjoyed many activities in the area. We visited both Seneca and Smoke Hole caverns and were not disappointed. We drove to the top of Spuce Knob and hiked about the area there and it was amazing. We also enjoyed Blackwater Falls. It was very relaxing to sit by the fire at night and also end the day with relaxing in the hot tub. The owners did a wonderful job of outlining the area for us. I would recommend pizza at the Front Porch restaurant to anyone...it was wonderful. Next time we go, we will at least hike to the overlook on Seneca Rocks. We could not fit it in this time! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax and enjoy quiet!

We stayed at this cabin for a weekend while taking a rock climbing course at Seneca Rocks. We chose this cabin because of its close proximity to both Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob where we planned to spend or vacation. Little did we know that this cabin would be one of the highlights of our trip and that we would not want to leave. The view from this cabin is incredible. As good as the pictures look online, they do not do justice as to how spectacular the view is. Whether sitting on the deck, laying in the hot tub or making food in the kitchen, you can enjoy the view from all over the property because of its location on the edge of the ridge. This location also provides seclusion from everything except the multitude of stars that you may be lucky enough to see if it is a clear night. Because there are no other cabins or lights within sight of this cabin, the darkness leads to phenomenal star gazing. The amenities at the cabin are also more than adequate with a washer and dryer, gas grill and large kitchen not to mention the outdoor hot tub with a view of the stars. Highly recommended in every aspect but make sure to have good directions before you travel there because there is no cell phone reception in the area to reference mapquest if needed, however cabin is easily located using mapquest before you travel there.

Beautifully appointed cabin, great view as presented, quiet, private setting far above the valley. Our only surprise was how nicely the cabin was furnished. Our teens enjoyed making a fire and having s'mores at the firepit. Be sure to drive on up to the top of Spruce Knob. Highly recommend!
