  Our group rented the house for a football weekend and it was excellent. The owner was very informative and responsive in advance of the rental and flexible with our arrival and departure dates. The house easily accomadated our group with extensive beds, futons, pull out sofas and couches along with an abundant supply of towels, toiletries, soaps and cleaning supplies. The house was larger than expected with plenty of parking and easy access to the campus. In fact we were able to walk when needed up to the campus. Upon completion of our rental, the owner quickly communicated back as sent our deposit refund in very timely manner. Overall a great weekend and excellent place to stay for a football weekend! We've already booked our week for next year! Thanks!!!

  Most impressive. The bed we slept in was more comfortable than I expected. Loved all the clean towels and cleaning supplies and such. The weather didn't permit it for us but the outside tailgating garage was unexpectedly nice. If we'd have had cable, it would have been perfect (but that's understandable.) We are most appreciative of the hospitality - would recommend it to anyone!!!

  this place was amazing. we had 11 people and all slept comfortably. the owners were very easy to work with and very friendly. the house was clean and super close to campus. it was so nice to have a place where we could all stay and hang out instead of all being in seperate hotel rooms. we chose to grocery shop and cook at the house to avoid long waits at the local restaurants and it was so nice that they had all of the cooking supplies you would need. anyways, we all had a great time and will definitely rent with them again!

  This house is perfect for a football weekend! There is plenty of common space for everyone to hang out together, but there is also a ton of private sleeping space as well!

  We loved staying at this home. It was so charming and had everything we needed. I was very excited to find such a comfortable bed after a long, fun day of sightseeing and football. The supplies provided for our tailgating (lots of ND Chairs and a tent) were great. I would definately stay here again!

  This was the perfect place to stay for our friends and family weekend. We had 11 people with us and there was plenty of room for everyone with room to spare. The accommadations were perfect. The house is within walking distance to ND's campus we were even able to get back to the house by car very quickly after the football game, which isn't always easy given all the traffic!! I would stay here again in a heart beat and recommend it to anyone looking to spend time in South Bend for any occasion!

  I rented this house, not to attend a ND game but to visit my folks in South Bend for a week. My wife and 3 small kids stayed with me. Usually we stay at a Marriott Residence Inn or another hotel that offers a couple bedrooms. In South Bend, they are in somewhat short supply, so we decided to try renting a house on vrbo.com. What I liked: The place was generally clean when we arrived. The kitchen did have many utensils for preparing meals. The washer/dryer in the basement was a nice plus. The owner seemed friendly and attentive over email. What I didn't like: My first impression of the house when I walked in was the smell. Granted, it is an old house, but the odor (especially downstairs) had a funky unpleasantness to it. I did notice 4 or 5 half burnt Yankee scent candles around the house (other people apparently agree). The carpet in the downstairs was dirty. Luckily, we brought slipper which we kept on pretty much at all times. My biggest problem with the house, however was the location. There are some nice houses and neighborhoods around the university, this is not one of them. Coming home at night, it was not uncommon to see people hanging out on their front porch/lawn drinking 40 oz bottles of malt liquor. There's a mini-mart store about a block down from the house which looks like a drug dealer's hangout. I guess if I were staying at the place with a group of other adult males, this wouldn't bother me as much, but me being there with the wife and kiddos--I caught a lot of grief for picking this house. I hope this was helpful.

  I rented this house with a group of friends for a home Notre Dame football weekend and it was perfect! The owners made it incredibly easy to rent and it's walkable to campus. It was easy to find and there is off-street parking behind the house. We were happy to find a spacious first floor with a great kitchen, nice sized dining room & table and a very comfortable living room. The sectional couch and flat screen TV made for great football watching before the game. In addition to the three bedrooms upstairs (we all agreed the beds are very comfortable!) there are plenty of futons and sofas downstairs. Our group was very happy with the sleeping accommodations and two full bathrooms. The house is also very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend and will certainly be back!

  Two words: Party. Garage. Great space, very clean, easy and efficient rental process. Perfectly located between campus and Corby's, and Eddy Commons. We haven't found a rental we like better than this one!

  Clean, comfortable, and close to Notre Dame University. The process of renting the unit was quick and very easy. The owner answered all my questions and concerns in a tmely manner. She even placed 2 blow dryers in the house for our use. I would definitely rent this again.
