We have lived in this house for 20 years and now our kids have grown up and moved to USA we use part of it as a vacation rental! We converted it 5 years ago. We love the area; it is so vibrant and fun and so accessible to every area. Once you've visited you wont want to be in any other part of town!

We spent three weeks in November staying in this very comfortable, convenient apartment. It is within easy reach of bus and tube and in a lovely part of London. Bunty and Ian are very gracious hosts. We would certainly consider staying here again and would not hesitate to recommend it. The flat was spacious and very clean and I'm sure in the summer it would be lovely to be able to use the garden.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

We enjoyed this spacious, unique, quirky, clean, and comfortable flat. We put the kitchen facilities to especially good use! The owners are lovely and hospitable people who responded promptly to our booking queries and were available for guidance throughout and even after our stay. The flat is within easy reach of several London destinations. It's an unusual and adventurous alternative to staying in a standard hotel.

we rented Bunty's flat for 10 weeks during June and July 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed the amenity, the space, the garden - and our hosts! Definitely would come again

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and hated to leave! We loved the style and bright, airy feeling in the property. The flat had every amentity we could have wanted. The bathrooms were lovely and the kitchen fully stocked. We even had some sun so we could enjoy meals in the garden. The area was tranquil and the Tube and busses were very easy to get to. We even found it to be an easy walk to the famous Portobello Market and Knotting Hill. We very much enjoyed meeting the owners, who were most helpful and kind. We hope to be back again very soon!

This flat is fabulous. I don't think you could possibly ask for a better place to stay in London. I've been visiting London all my life and it makes all the difference to experience the city from a residence. Here, the owners have decorated the flat beautifully and you find yourself wanting to sit in the gorgeous garden all morning and postpone your own outings! This flat also has a lovely bedroom that looks out over the rooftops of the neighboring homes. You are a few short blocks from the lovely and popular Portobello Road as well as the tube which takes you everywhere you need to go. A London Hotel won't be able to hold a candle to living in this airy, beautiful, clean and welcoming flat in a delightful neighborhood while you explore the city. Not to mention, the owners are absolutely charming and so willing to help you with anything you might need or any questions you might have.

My wife and I spent 5 days in the apartment in May 2011 and were completely satisfied with everything: the bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen, and living room.--all clean and well cared for. And the garden is beautiful to look at, though we didn't get to use it as it was cold, rainy, and windy most of the time. And Bunty is a wonderful hostess--warm and very helpful. As the apartment is located in a residential area, there is not a lot of shopping or restaurants nearby, but it's only a ten-minute walk to the Ladbroke Grove tube station. There is a good Thai restaurant in the neighborhood, though, and the St. Helen's bakery at the end of the block provides excellent pastries.

My wife and I were returning to London after a few years overseas and only intended to stay in this property for a couple of weeks before renting something more permanent whilst we looked to buy, however this flat was so brilliant, we ended up staying 6 months! If there are are a few of you (i.e. parents with older kids), then there is another adjoining appartment (same owner) with plenty beds. It has some great features, from the quality oak floor in the spacious living area, to the Velux windows in the roof above the deep bath which lets all the light in. There is a big garden with patio doors leading onto it, good kitchen and some nice furniture items which make the place feel very homely. Beddroom is openplan and has good natural light. We had some friends round one evening and they all raved about the place, we were sorry to leave but had to once we bought our own place. The underground is only a 5min walk for the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines, the Westfield shopping centre is a 15 min walk using a shortcut or a 8min bus route. Great location, British Prime Minister David Cameron used to live 200yds from this house, so its a really nice area with local shops and Portabello Market a short walk away. I realise this review sounds OTT, but it's really what we think, other similarly priced appartments definetly don't come up to this standard, if only one beedroom isn't a problem, we then cannot reccommend this place hightly enough. Photos should speak for themselves really..
