I call Eagles Nest home, and for a week or the season you may also. Your personal Connoisseur will meet you at the airport and see to your every need throughout your stay. While available to also accompany you, if so desired, for three days of skiing on Aspen’s various mountain terrains. For those guests reserving month long stays, a Jeep Grand Cherokee awaits you with ski rack for your personal use without cost.
This 6,000 sq.ft. unique estate situated on 2.5 acres surrounded by forest at an elevation of 9,000 feet. The estate is secluded for privacy yet just minutes to Aspen and Snowmass. Wildlife abounds throughout the preserve; it is not unusual to see deer, elk, mountain lion, bobcat or "Buns" our resident rabbit. Look out front over the Aspen trees and watch our two resident Bald Eagles soar in the thermos above the valley.
Upon entering this incredible home, you will be impressed by the most spectacular, unobstructed 360 degree views of famous Independence Pass, Highlands Ski Area and the City of Aspen directly in front. This private, luxurious "get away" offers the finest in quality contemporary design and decor. Great for entertaining guests or a best kept secret escape for yourself.
The gourmet kitchen includes a Decor five burner gas range, two ovens and a bread/plate warming drawer. In addition to the Sub Zero refrigerator, two pull out crisper drawers located in the expansive granite topped island keep vegetables fresh, crisp and convenient. Not enough?
There is an extra refrigerator and freezer in one of two laundry rooms. The custom designed etched glass dining table seats up to ten plus two contemporary dining tables for seating eight more guests. Off the kitchen is an outdoor "Zen Den" with lovely built-in lounge sofas and a gas fire pit in addition to a large BBQ grill.
The soft sound of water falling over a 10' high granite water feature above the wood burning fireplace in the living room will sooth your tensions away or enjoy a glass of wine on the living room balcony while drinking in the majestic views of the valley below. A baby grand piano tuned to perfection as well as surround sound music throughout the house.
The master bedroom and ensuite bath captures the South West garden and mountain views. Relax in the easy chairs or sofa while reading your favorite novel in front of an inviting gas fireplace. The master bathroom has separate vanities, Jacuzzi tub and oversized shower with an open expanse of glass creating a feeling of bathing in your own private outdoor oasis.
The double office is equipped with computer, printer, fax and Internet access throughout the house. The library has a full bath, beautiful deck, gas fireplace and may be converted to an additional bedroom for that unexpected guest.
The entertainment & media room features a full bar, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave for popcorn while enjoying your favorite programs and movies on the 72" projection screen. The wine cellar offers a 1,000 bottle capacity for storage of your favorite vintage, soft lights and music await you for that special private moment of reflection.
A custom designed spa is located on the garden level with heated stone floors. Peaceful and private with gorgeous views from the hot tub and steam shower. For those times when muscles ache, slip into the eight seat hot rock sauna.
Your guests will enjoy either of two bedrooms on the garden level waking to breathtaking mountain views and balloons rising from the valley floor below. There is an additional bath with steam shower and heated floors for your guests.

Aspen is the premium ski destination in the United States. Snow here is soft, light and plentiful. The panorama views from nearly 9,000 feet are incredible from Highlands Ski Area, to the tiny City of Aspen all the way to Independence Pass. Winter sun is warm and invites you to sit on the decks even in the middle of winter. We are equal distance to both Aspen and Snowmass with its great beginner and immediate ski runs to tony Aspen and Ajax/Aspen Mountain with abundance of expert ski runs, excellent restaurants and shopping until you drop.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The home has a number of unique features such a 1,000 bottle wine cellar with sitting area to enjoy a glass of your favorite wine while you seclude yourself in the quiet of the cellar room with surround sound music. Theater seats await you in the media room with 6' drop down screen with complete bar including refrig, dishwasher and micro oven. The health center spa across the hall will wash away sore muscles from a day of skiing with indoor hot tub, sauna and steam shower. Look out at the snow falling while you and five companions enjoy the tub. A well stocked library with fireplace beckons for evenings relaxation before you dine in the living/dining area with 20' ceilings. Listen to music throughout throughout the house with a state of the art sound system. Or choose comfortable music to relax in front of the three fireplaces including the immense master suite with ensuite bath. Master bath has a jacuzzi tub, surround music, concrete vanities, and a Italian shower to die for including windows on all sides, ceiling heating system and your toes will never get cold with invisible floor radiant heat throughout the home. Attention to detail is everywhere you turn from the 10' high granite water falls over the living room fireplace to the bamboo heated floors below your feet. The kitchen featuring cherry cabinets and concealed Zero King refrig, warming oven, double veggie refrig draws and two ovens all are adjacent to an incredible 10' long custom made glass top table suspended on a bronze base. Even the decks and walkways are fully heated. Spend a cozy evening outside in front of the gas operated firepit. Sit back and sip your early morning coffee and watch the balloons drift overhead. You might even talk to the captains and passengers as they float past with the soft "whoosh" from their propane tanks.

My wife Rosa and I purchased the original property home and surrounding 2.5 acre mountain top location in 1993. Rosa was formerly CEO of MTB Group Inc. a government contracting company where I served as COO. We lived in the old house off and on until 2001 and then decided to to bulldoze it and start completely new and make Aspen our permanent home. The accompanying photograph was taken for a recent completed novel about St. John, USVI "Keep Left." We gave up skiing a year or so ago and now spend our time traveling in the winter. Aspen is our home and as such the 6,000 sq. ft. house has been professionally decorated and holds many original art works as well as designed furniture and furnishings throughout.

We just finished a lovely week at this magnificent home. The artwork was fabulous; the views exceeded our expectations and the home had a great flow to it. The media room was terrific for viewing movies; the library was relaxing and the decks out of this world for viewing purposes. I highly recommend this home for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. It has every amenity you will need and more..... (i.e. a wonderful cutting garden for fresh flowers in the house). Would not hesitate to rent it again.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I would have to say that everything with the house was PERFECT! Out of a score of 1-10 this house would be an 11. The views are outstanding and the location was among the best. If you like it quiet and relaxing as well as every amenity this is the place to come to. I just hope it is available when I want to come back! The owner was great to work with and Kathie who helped us get settled into the house was so accommodating and helpful. Look forward to coming back soon! Mark – Houston Texas
