Cozy, secluded cabin on 20-acre property in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana, in the middle of the northwestern Rocky Mountains AND famous world-class fly-fishing country (yes, like in the movie The River Runs Through It!) If you've never visited "The Bitterroot," you owe yourself this special treat. But you'll probably fall in love with it and want to stay longer like everyone else does.
Summer 2009 is the cabin's first rental season, so everything is new, comfortable, convenient. Bear Creek runs through the property and spectacular vistas and great wildlife viewing make this a perfect get-away location in any season.

Owners are former Texas residents who moved to the Bitterroot Valley to get away from cities, traffic, construction, noise, heat and humidity to enjoy the great outdoors, a mild climate with four beautiful seasons, mountains, big skies, clean air, wide open spaces, fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, golfing and wonderful, friendly people who, like us, think we've found the ideal place to live. If you like these things, too, you will fall in love with this area. We love to share it with others.
Why the Owner Chose Victor
We chose this cabin and 20-acre property for it's location, uniqueness and charm. Sometimes we refer to it as the Hobbitt House! Logs and rock construction, round windows and cowboy/lodge casual decor with all the necessities plus wild-life, a picturesque creek, woods, meadows, mountain views, 2 miles from a trailhead and 3 from the Bitterroot River. You can be hiking or fishing in literally 10 minutes or enjoying a cold beer at the local micro-brewery in 15. And it's so quiet, most of the time all you hear are the wild turkeys or the wind in the trees. Lots of deer and sometimes, elk, moose, grouse, eagles....
