Welcome to Sugar House, our spacious accommodations in a private setting with gardens and yoga studio next door. Experience the authentic Maui lifestyle while relaxing in the rustic themed rooms of this one of a kind inn.
This is the choice for the conscious traveler, some of the things we do to protect the environment and ourselves are; providing compost bins, providing recycling bins for glass, cans, plastic and card. Use recycled furniture which adds tons of character, provide filtered water jugs to save on plastic bottles, provide each person with a shopping bag. Use biodegradable household products, line dry all linens. We dont do microwaves or TV's. There is tea, coffee and other food and beverage provisions for you, all organic! Our vegetable garden is underway and we delight is providing guests with lemons, coconuts, Surinam cherries and bananas fresh from the garden.
The large open 2 bed roomed apartment is located on the ground floor of the main house. The living area, includes the kitchen and dining for 6, is approximately 450 square feet and opens through 3 sets of French doors to the lanai (balcony), making it ideal for families, groups and entertaining.
Sugar House is full of surprises, check out the Full Moon room with its midnight blue walls, giant mirror and Asian antiques, or the Safari room with a four poster bed made from Silver birch gathered from the local forest. The Love Nest room is open to the sky at the front, watch the stars from your bed and check the waves before you even get up from this one of a kind room separated from the rest of the lanai with is own door and lock.
From the hammock enjoy refreshing breezes on the lanai (balcony) beneath the shade of our coconut palms.
The yoga studio offers classes twice daily by excellent and experienced teachers. Just a 10 minute walk to a choice of 2 beautiful sugar sand beach coves for swimming and sunbathing (great for kids!). 1 minute drive to Ho'okipa surf, windsurf, kitesurf mecca and less than 1 mile from the charming old town of Paia's great shopping, cafes, restaurants, and world class health food store. Centrally located for accessing all the major attractions Maui offers. Only half a mile to the Islands most famous 5 star restaurant, Mama's Fish House stunningly beautiful and world class right on the ocean front.
