Our family: grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, and two teenagers, stayed at this house for five nights. It was a great experience from beginning to end. There was plenty of room: two bedrooms with a queen bed each for the adults, one particularly sunny bedroom with a double bed and a perfect easy chair for reading and writing for one teenager, and a full futon in a room with a TV and VCR for another teenager. There were two full bathrooms with great showers. There was a washer and dryer handy in one of the bathrooms. The kitchen, as well as the rest of the house, was fully equipped for every contingency, including extra sheets and towels, and brochures for local activities and attractions. The eating area was cosy and comfortable. The sitting area was a little tight, but we made do (we have tall people in our family). There was high speed internet, cable TV, and even some movies available. It truly was like being in someone's beautiful and inviting home. There wasn't a lot of parking available, but the neighbors are nice and very quiet. The house is conveniently located to anything you might need or like to do. We will definitely want to stay here again the next time we travel to Arcata. Thank you for a great stay!
Owner response:Thank you. You are most welcome to stay again!

We had a great time in Arcata. We especially enjoyed staying in this house. It was perfect for our needs, we had plenty of room for our group of seven, The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. I would much rather stay here than any motel. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs accomodations for four people or more.

We recently rented this house for a few days with 5 other friends--a college reunion of sorts. The house was clean and beautiful! it was amazingly well-stocked with anything and everything one would need. The outside was had a well-groomed little yard, and even a sweet bird feeder as you look out the kitchen window. I would highly recommend this house, and would definitely rent it again when I go back to Arcata.

The house was perfect for our stay in Arcata serving as base camp while we visited HSU and parks in the area. The house is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean with all the needed amenties - comfortable beds, TVs and kitchen gathering space, fully equipped kitchen, bbq, washer dryer, and wifi. Great for our teenagers to each have their space. Centrally located with easy access to Arcata, HSU campus, Redwood parks and local beaches. Quiet and comfy as advertised!

What a great property!! It is set back off the road in a quiet location. Plenty of space for everyone! We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers and there was still room. The location is easy to get to downtown area or to travel up the coast to see the BEAUTIFUL redwoods and beaches. This place had it all. It was a nice surprise when we got there that there was indeed cable and internet access. Everything we needed as far as linens, towels, pots and pans, dishes...it was all there. The description of the property is accurate, as were the photos to the appearance to the house. It is clean and well maintained. The owners were more than helpful with any questions we had prior to travel as well as when we were there. We also loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. we will stay here when we come back to visit!

A few of my friends and I were up in Eureka for a mini vacation. I was so happy to have found this house in Arcata, which is so close to Eureka, and so many attractions! This place was clean, spacious, comfortable, and inviting! The neighborhood was also quiet and peaceful which was great for relaxing! We would definitely come back again and recommend to all our friends.

We were visiting for my son's wedding in Eureka and this house fit our needs perfectly. We basically had 2 families staying with a few coming and going and the two different areas provided privacy when needed from the hustle and bustle. The house was well equipped and on a quiet dead end street. The beds were comfy and the house was very clean with modern appliances. I just had to wash some towels to use the fancy new washer and dryer!!! Would highly recommend this house . Thank you

This home worked perfectly for our needs. It was a great place for a family gathering to celebrate a college graduation. We entertained guests, cooked big dinners, barbequed, came and went and slept peacefully. The kitchen was totally equiped for any of our needs. One could find privacy up or downstairs. It was a quiet area at the end of a street with quiet nieghbors. It was initially hard to locate at the end of the street as we got there after dark. Just get better directions for the last block.

My brother, son and I took a vacation to the Redwoods this April and stayed at this lovely home. It was a great place to rest our bones after our daily hikes. The beds were very comfortable, the place was spotless. The owners could not have been more accommodating. Sometimes when you select a place to stay, you arrive and it disappoints to the degree you want to check out. Rest assured, not the case here. I plan to stay here again. Our thanks to the owners!! While you are here, take your time in exploring the beautiful Forests, it is a truly spectacular place, a wonder! Greg

The house itself is laid out to comfortably share with another family. It has a small living space but it was plenty of space for our group of 4. Nicely appointed, clean kitchen - all the basics on hand. Nice furnishings. Located on a quiet cul-du-sac not very far from the university. Would definitely recommend this as a clean, affordable place to stay in Arcata.

We've had a lovely stay here. Our Thanksgiving with local family was enhanced by your beautiful well appointed home. Whatever we needed was close at hand from kitchen graters to non-latex bandaids (not necessarily related as cause and effect). We are three generations. Thank you so much!
