Casa Alegría – House of Happiness – is a spacious, beautifully appointed luxury villa in the heart of Manuel Antonio. The villa, decorated in a Balinese style, overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the rain forest and has wonderful views from every room. The villa is fully air-conditioned and has private access to one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.
The villa sleeps 8 comfortably in 4 bedroom suites, each with a full, modern bathroom. The kitchen is large, fully equipped with stainless appliances and granite counter tops. The dining table, which seats 10, and the adjacent living room, both offering breath-taking views of the Pacific, complete the villa’s spacious common area. The master bedroom, with a queen bed, a large bathtub and a separate shower, is also on this level. A large deck, spanning the length of the villa with expansive views of the ocean and rain forest, is perfect for viewing the amazing wildlife of Manuel Antonio. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas and fabulous birds share the hillside with Casa Alegría.
The next level down offers a sitting area complete with satellite television and DVD player. Two bedroom suites, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen canopy bed, are also on this floor. Another large, ocean-facing deck is accessible from every room on this level.
The fourth bedroom, with a queen bed, is on the pool level and is part of an apartment equipped with its own kitchen and separate entrance, offering greater privacy. A pool and spa, also on this level, adjacent to the rain forest, are perfect for enjoying the villa’s colorful garden, it’s butterflies and birds and viewing the other Manuel Antonio wildlife.
Casa Alegría offers full housekeeping, including personal laundry service, a 24-hour concierge, and all of the amenities of a luxury hotel.

We had the most amazing time at Casa Alegria! Everything was absolutely ideal. The house, the setting, the people who helped us out..... it couldn't have been better! And Rafael's... the perfect restaurant/bar right there! We went on amazing hikes in Manuel Antonio and also a rainforest hike.... we went on the 11 in 1 adventure and had tons of fun, we went white water rafting and our raft capsized! We got a little banged up in the rapids but all is well. It was very exciting. The food and evening entertainment (some salsa dancing) was great too. We will definitely be back at some point... Can't stay away. Anyway... we've been telling everyone how fantastic the whole experience was.

The trip and the house were great! We loved the fact that all bedrooms had its own bathroom and the pool came in very handy since it was a hike back up hill from the beach. Loved the view..the sunsets were amazing. We had great meals everywhere we went, but really loved Kapi Kapi, the macadamia nut Maui and chocolate lave cake was awesome. The Canopy Safari tour was also great for the money. 10 zips, 2 repels and a tarzan swing....friendly staff with a sense of humor...and of course safety first! I thought the hospitality everywhere we went was awesome! The maid at Casa Alegria did a fantastic job keeping the house clean and towels were never any issue because you have it stocked very well. Thomas was also very accommodating and available.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
