Truly a one of a kind location and design. Originally the land was owned by Don Ho...yes the tiny bubbles singer! I bought it from him and spent the next 10 years designing my dream home. From inlaid precious stone mosaics of the native sea life to creating a home that takes into mind the natural winds to keep it cool and enjoyable. The privacy and seclusion is probably the second thing you notice when you arrive - the 1st being the magnificent views and location. It is the best combination of seclusion, view, weather and luxurious design. I actually counted that it is 20 steps to the beach.
The water in this area of Hawaii is very protected due to a fringing reef one mile out from the beach making for calm gentle water and very kid friendly. Coral heads are 2 feet below and offer incredible snorkeling. Perfect for windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaking, stand up paddling, and just relaxing in the beachside hammock. Owned by an avid culinary enthusiast, so all kitchen amenities are included, Dean & Deluca spices and gourmet items. Luxurious bedding. Views and peace and quiet. It is truly a magnificent place. Everyone that has come has either fallen in love all over again with their partner, spouse and family or rejuvenated beyond belief.

Year Purchased: 1993
I fell in love with the property when I bought it from Don Ho in 1993. I spent the next 10 years designing the home and going through six architects before I found the one that drew my dream house. It is an incredible home and property. You have to experience it to realize how amazing it is - people tell me the pictures never do it justice. My parents have been on the island for over 20 years which has given me the opportunity to really know the island and its residents. I wanted to give back in some way to the island and the people that make it so special, so I started a line of Molokai Sea Salt Blends two years ago to increase production of the salt harvesting facility on the island. Just recently my line of salts was picked up in Dean & Deluca and I have been asked to attend the Emmy event and have a "salt bar" sampler. I believe that there is something very special about Molokai and in giving back it gives also. We donate to Habitat for Humanity and Nature Conservancy.
