Owner's Map of Bodega Bay
My father built this wonderful oceanfront home as his dream house. Mom and Dad loved the ocean and this gift has been passed on to my sister and I. It sits on 4 and a half acres on a point directly overlooking the beach next to one of Golf Digest's top rated resort courses that we share with wild life! It is our special place and is not 'staged' but an upscale family home. We are thrilled to share this with people that have the same love of the coast and beach. We hope your heart is filled with joy at the views and sounds.

I rented this home with my family on my 40th Birthday and had the most amazing time. This home was so incredible and far exceeded my expectations. Every room in the house had amazing ocean views and the home overall was just beautiful beyond words. It is definitely the best home in the entire community. The owner was also very nice and easy to work with. I would recommend this home to anyone and would love to go back.

Our family of seven adults and three children enjoyed Christmas at this wonderful home. My parents owned a home at the Harbor for almost 20 years and we always spent Christmas in Bodega Bay. It meant a lot to the family to return there this holiday and remember those great times. We were particularly pleased to find the house furnished as a home - versus staged as a rental. The furniture, kitchen, etc., are all very functional and inviting. We managed to cook an elaborate Christmas meal in the kitchen and found all of the appliances and cookware we needed. It was a great treat to have the direct beach access along with the unobstructed views of the Head, Seal Rock, harbor, and then south down the coast. The layout of the house is great for finding quiet retreats from the crowd or for all being together.

My husband and I had never been to Bodega Bay but we were looking for something by the beach (for the kids), near good restuarants, with sightseeing adventures and north of San Francisco. We took a chance on this home and I am so glad we did. It was perfect for our family! In fact it was so wonderful that we can't wait to go back!! This house is perfect for a girls' weekend or a family or a group of friends. We had lots of room to spread out and everyone have their own space or gather in the upstairs living area and cook, watch the ocean and watch tv. The beds were comfortable and the linens were lovely. There was not one thing that I needed that was not provided by the owners of this lovely beach house. We used the laundry room daily and I am so glad we had that for sandy clothes and wet towels. I felt extremely safe in the Bodega Harbor community. This is a nice quiet community with a golf course and the beach a few steps from your front door. There is a wonderful restaurant at the golf club and another within walking distance at Bodega Lodge. Once outside of this neighborhood in this lovely small town there is a grocery store for stocking the refrig., restaurants, a kite shop and surf shack - be sure to take a surf lesson from Surfer Bob! There are many small towns near Bodega Bay that are within a short drive. Don't miss breakfast at The Station and the zip line in Occidental. Walk the town squares in Healdsburg and Sebastapol. Visit the wine country and try the wonderful shopping in St. Helena. Not to miss - River's End Restaurant in Jenner! Ask for the homemade strawberry ice cream for dessert!! And remember to bring your camera - the scenery along Hwy 1 are some of the most beautiful ocean shots you will ever get - especially from Bodega Bay to Jenner! At the end of the day you will return to your fabulous, comfortable home in Bodega Bay where the spa tub, cool breezes and fabulous scenery welcome you. If you are looking for a dream get away - this is it! I have traveled domestic and internationally and I highly recommend this home for a relaxing getaway with family or friends.

Linsey we are so pleased you found your dream luxery house. There was a clear aggreement that no more than 10 people were allowed in the house. This agreement was violated. Shame on us - we should learn never to allow guests to arrive without payment in full- NOR to concede our no event policy no matter how sincere the appeal or promises -lesson learned by us.

Gorgeous House & Beachfront Property but Owner Ruins It!

We rented this property for a very small family wedding, with approx 13 family members attending, & 10 guests staying overnight. The house and property were absolutely perfect, with its beachfront views, and was a dream location for our wedding. We did obtain pre-approval by the owner to have the wedding at the house. However, the owner began calling the house's land line beginning at 9:00am on the morning of our wedding, and continued to call several more times throughout that day; keeping myself (the bride), on the phone for over 20min while I was getting ready, then my mother was kept on the phone for over 30min immediately following the ceremony when she called again demanding another head count of the number of guests, and again she called twice during our cake cutting. Despite the fact the owner was fully aware it was our wedding day, she showed no regard for our special day, simply because there were 2 additional family members attending the ceremony (not staying overnight) and 2 of which were my nephews, ages 8 and 11 and 2 of our family's dogs that were kept in kennels when in the house. I understand the concerns, but I was not aware they would be attending until the day before, and also was not aware children were not welcome at this house. She was so frantic about there being extra attendees that she even sent the community security patrol by to count the number of guests during our ceremony, which was a real classy addition to our wedding, NOT! Additionally, the ping-pong table in the garage is an absolute hazard, and caused my 82-yr old grandpa to fall when he leaned against it for balance. When I expressed this concern to the owner, I was informed she doesn't expect anyone will move the table so there is nothing wrong with it being broken. There were also issues with a leak in the downstairs bathroom and with the refrigerator in the kitchen. While the house is definitely one-of-a-kind, and we would have loved to stay there again, we are sorry to say, the owner is not worth the headache! Especially, considering when paying premium rental rates and fees, you assume you are renting a "vacation" home, and therefore should be able to enjoy it! The owner did her best to make our stay very uncomfortable and should be ashamed of herself for her outr

I cannot say enough to express my pleasure with this property! We had a family gathering in Bodega Bay & this location was perfect. Tastefully decorated, exceptionally comfortable home. We commented to one another that it felt like our home. I think that this must be one of the reasons that the property is so well maintained. I imagined that others who have stayed here also felt as if it were their home as well. I think that when you have the sense that something is yours- you tend to treat it with respect. For a rental property, this home is in surprisingly great condition. The owners seem to have thought of everything- jetted tube in the master bedroom, kitchen with all the needed items, ample beach towels, quality linens, books & movies (of course "The Birds" was in the video library). Working fireplaces with supplied wood, beach access adjacent to the property. This property sits right on the cliff above the beach, i.e. an unobstructed view from every room in the home. The owner called, during my stay, to welcome me an ensure that my expectations were being met- they were. Prompt deposit refund. We will return!

I was looking for a place to celebrate my 40th birthday with my best friends. I really wanted to find a large, comfortable home with unobstructed views of the ocean where we could visit and unwind. This home far exceeded my expectations. In fact, it was perfect. Although the photos show some of the wonderful aspects of the home, it is so much more beautiful in person. You could see and hear the ocean from EVERYWHERE in the house. It was well appointed and well stocked. The owner was so friendly and responsive. Overall, it felt like we were staying in a friend's home rather than a rental. There is a walking path to the beach right next to the house. The community was safe and quiet. I would love to go back with my family and spend a week. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay in Bodega Bay.

We had a wonderful time here this past summer. The owner was extremely accomodating and went out of her way to make sure that we were well taken care of. The house was great for our 2 kids and dog and the walk to the beach was short. The owner really takes care of you and treats you to all sorts of nice perks such as some really nice lotions and shampoos and wonderful linens and nice thick towels. House had great views of the ocean from every room and is located in a really nice golf community. I would highly recommend this house to anyone and Bodega bay was wonderful.

My family of 5 and my parents have done coastal vacations each summer and therefore have some experience with vacation rentals. If you're really diligent about researching the rental and location (including reading the reviews) you usually get what you expect. This house, however, is EVEN BETTER than the photos can possibly convey. It is a luxury home overlooking the beach directly below. It is on the best lot in the whole neighborhood, which is all very upscale. It is definitely the best house we've ever rented. The house is so well appointed. So many rentals we have stayed in are furnished with items the owner doesn't mind getting damaged (and it shows). Not the case with this rental. The upstairs family room can accommodate your entire group. The beds are well dressed and very comfortable. This house can truly handle 8-10 people (without having to eat and sleep in shifts like some rentals!) The kitchen, bathrooms (all 6 of them), and laundry room were well-stocked. They have both an gas and charcoal BBQ as well as a high-chair. T The owner is incredibly gracious. She called to check in on us during our stay. I had my deposit returned within a week. The location is perfect. The beach access is a paved path right next to the house. There are all sorts of sea creatures (starfish, sea anenomies, crabs, etc.) at the rocks to the left. There is a fun little rock tunnel to walk thru to get to an even more private beach, but the Doran Beach below the house is perfect & pet friendly. Our dog had a fabulous time playing in the surf. We shopped at the Safeway in Sebastopol which was not far away and actually a nice scenic drive. The small grocery stores in town were pretty expensive. My 9 year old daughter loved her horseback ride along the beach thru Wildfire Stables. We also did charter fishing which didn't turn out well, but it may have been the windy conditions. We had a lot better luck in other locales. The best use of our time was enjoying the perfect view from the house, yard, balcony, and down at the beach. Stay the whole week, you will regret it if you don't. I didn't worry about our toddler outside in the yard, The cliff (not really a cliff) is so gradual and well vegetated, that it was not a concern. Next time, I will probably bring some kiddie fencing for the balcony/stairs area so that we don't have to keep such a close eye because we spent most of our time in the gorgeous family room upstairs. You will love this place!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful house for three nights as part of our vacation to the San Francisco area. The pictures and description of the house and views were right on. The house is well appointed and beautifully decorated. The views were to die for! I spent my mornings drinking coffee in the sitting area of the master bedroom looking out over the ocean - spectacular. We felt very comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out. It was the perfect place for the beach part of our family vacation. We loved the Bodega Bay area. We found a fantastic Italian restaurant in Occidental at the Union Hotel and enjoyed the wine country. The scenery all around this area is just beautiful. The owner, Susie, was very nice and helpful with any questions we had. She even called while we were there to make sure everything was in order and to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this property
