Couldn't have been any better !!!

A few days ago we returned from Anne and Mark's wonderful cottage. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of. It was a rustic paradise. The horse farm was breathtaking with landscaping to soothe the most stressed traveler. The cottage had so much personality - asthetically wonderfull as well as clean, well appointed and homey. The yard was fenced so my 3 small dogs were in no danger of slipping away (still a bit of puppy left in them). We were in town for my stepson's Marine graduation. So all in all, this was one of the most memorable trips we have taken. Thank you Anne and Mark, we truly appreciate your keen attention to detail. Nancy and AJ

Owner response:We appreciate your kind words. We work hard to maintain a welcoming retreat for equestrians and and vistors enjoying the area on vacation. We love animals so the dog safe fencing in the back yard was important. We also included a fire pit and garden seating to the yard to give our guest a quiet garden retreat. Thank you for your visit and we look forward to having you stay with us again.

Camelot Farms is the best!

Guest: Barb (Oxford, Ohio)
Date of Stay: 02/01/11 Review Submitted: 03/27/11

My husband and I wanted to escape the winter weather of Ohio and find a place warm enough to ride and train our horses. After a lot of internet searching we decided to spend the entire month of February with Anne and Mark at their "Saddle Pad" at Camelot Farms. We packed up the four horses and headed down south wondering if we would be sorry for committing to stay the entire month. Turns out we had such a great time that when I realized we only had a week left I was depressed! The time went so quickly. We made good use of the covered arena and the dressage arena making up for lost training time in the cold north. In nearby Beaufort we took a Carriage Tour and in addition to trying out many of the good restaurants. We spent a day at Hilton Head, a day in Savannah and the rest of the time we spent riding the beautiful plantation roads of Coffin Point Plantation and the nearby beach. Twice we took the horses to nearby Hunting Island where we rode on the beach at low tide. It was great fun for both us and the horses. Everyone at Camelot Farms was friendly and helpful. The horses were well taken care of and so were we. The accommodations were clean and comfy and cutely decorated in "contemporary equine". I wouldn't hesitate to go back or to recommend it to others. We had a great time and had the opportunity to make new friends!

Owner response:We so enjoyed meeting you and your horses! Thank you for your kind words. Hope to see you next year.

What a charming home! We didn't know what to expect on our trip, but we were pleasantly surprised by the accomodations. Our house was so clean and so cute! My husband, daughter and I not only brought our horse, but our dog, Tipsy, too...and Camelot Farms took care of all of our needs for our animals! The hospitality was great, it's such a beautiful area of the Lowcountry, and riding on the beach was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Owner response:Thank you and we enjoyed your family. Your daughter is beautiful and so smart. Hug Dusty and Tipsy for us!
