The "Cabin on the Creek" is built upon the original homestead of the original settlers of this 400+ acre nature preserve. Built in traditional fashion and fully paneled in white pine, the cabin offers all of the modern conveniences with a rustic feel along with wireless high speed internet access! A 6 person hot tub on the expansive covered porch with rocking chairs, picnic table and two person swing allows guests to enjoy the sounds of the rushing creek located just beyond the rear steps. For those guests with small dogs or children, cleverly designed gates allow guests to keep pets and kids on the porch!
Sheltered on all sides by National Park, the cabin is part of a small enclave of 4 other cabins watched after and maintained by a full time caretaker and is one of two privately owned cabins in this park like setting. Nature trails surround the cabin and offer many opportunities to explore the surrounding, undisturbed wilderness.
Situated on almost 2 acres, this cabin offers the ultimate in privacy without sacrificing convenience to the downtown area of Andrews, NC and is only a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin is near activities such as whitewater rafting and kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, mountain bike and hiking trails. Also nearby is the Appalachian Trail, Cherokee Indian Reservation, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Cherohala Skyway, Fields of the Wood, Fontana Dam, Ghost Town, Grand Father Mountain, Great Smoky Mountains Railway, Harrah's Casino, John C. Campbell Folk School, Biltmore House, Blowing Rock, Chimney Rock Park, Tail of the Dragon, and many other western North Carolina attractions.

We live in Cumming, GA and love to escape the heat, hustle and bustle of the "big" city.
Why the Owner Chose Andrews
We've always dreamed of owning a peaceful getaway in the mountains, nestled in the woods by a babbling creek. This cabin fit the bill perfectly as it is super easy to get to but feels like you are a million miles away from civilization. You'd never believe you were only two miles away from grocery stores, good restaurants and movie theaters! Having a full time caretaker looking after our property while we are away is invaluable and gives us great peace of mind.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Our property is the only other two bedroom cabin in this small enclave of 5 total rental cabins. We enjoy almost 2 acres of privacy with 500+' of creek frontage (both sides) in our back yard with a great little waterfall that provides peaceful background music. The covered porch is unique among the cabins and it was actually built on the home site of the original settlers of this piece of land.
