When we say it's not a hotel but rather a "home", we're reflecting on the many comments our guests have fed back over the years. They've returned to their "home back home" with suntans, rich memories of the tours and activities they've chosen to experience. But they also take along memories of just having been free to relax with no hassles or elevator rides, or lengthy walks to the beach or the the garage. Ours is a kickback place where you call the shots.
With only eighteen units in the complex, we offer seclusion and privacy if that's your desire, or, if you choose, you'll easily find some great fun right there on the premises. Here's a sample of what can be found:
Stairs to the water lead to snorkeling, board and body surfing, kayaking, surf fishing. All are enjoyed just off our shore.
There's whale watching in winter and early spring.
Turtles come visit and dolphins are seen jumping not far away.
You're invited to join the fun at our resident manager's weekly sunset PuPu parties next to the pool.
It's just a short walk to the twice-weekly Farmer's Market.
Your daily needs can be fulfilled at nearby grocery and convenience stores, delis and locally popular take-out eateries.
Frommer's Travel Guide named Hoyochi Nikko Ocean Condos as one of their highest recommended properties. Maui Revealed gives Hoyochi Nikko their prestigious Gold Bar rating for excellence. Independent rating service "Family Trips" gives Hoyochi Nikko, the Hyatt Regency and the Sheraton Maui a B+. with a side note "Great!" It's where I would want to stay in Maui!"

Why the Owner Chose Honokowai
First it was Maui, and our love affair with its unique variety of tropical landscape, country roads and dramatic ocean scenery. Add to that the wide choice of activities from snorkeling, surfing, championship golf, hiking fishing along with plain old soaking up rays and napping on the beach. Our best discovery on Maui was when we stepped through the front door of our beachfront condo. We were treated to a postcard view of azure water with the sun setting between the islands of Lanai and Molokai. It was love at first sight. We now welcome you to that same experience. May it be everything you're looking for and more.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Our condo (one of only 18 on the two-story beachfront property) has often been described as "The Honeymoon Nest" because of its top floor, end-unit privacy. Other benefits we brag about are: a 20-foot vaulted wood ceiling, our newly remodeled kitchen, bath and air-conditioned bedroom.
Best local snorkeling and diving -- also great spot to swim with the turtles. Next to the Sheraton.

My husband Jay and I live in the Northern California wine country, love the outdoors and our many return trips to our home away from home on the Maui beach front. We especially enjoy sharing our little slice of Maui Paradise with our guests, who continue to tell us how much they enjoy themselves during their stay.
