  This condo is in a good location, only 1 mile from the town of Kona. It is a modest but perfectly adequate 2 br condo. The pool area overlooks the ocean. The condo itself looks over the parking lot. The air conditioning works well. We appreciated having snorkel gear at the condo for our use. My only objection to renting this unit is that the owners did not return my deposit without my repeated inquiries and they deducted $26 from the deposit for paying by credit card through VRBO, although they did not disclose this charge ahead of time.

  We recently spent the weekend at Kona Shores and had the best time! The condo was spotless and very comfortable. The super cute Hawaiian decor made us feel right at home. Love the pool that is situated right off the ocean. There's also a really nice BBQ area and prep station. A real slice of paradise and great location. So close to Kona town and the great snorkeling beaches just to the south. We will definitely be back. Thank you Kona Shores!

  Adorable condo and affordable. Right on the beach, 2 minute drive to town and a mile walk. Love the location, the price and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something affordable on the Kona coast. I can't wait to go back again...Mahalo Nui Loa...

  We had a great time in Kona. The affordable condo at Kona Shores really met our needs, The newly renovated ocean front pool was a wonderful place to watch the sunset! The condo was simple, but very comfortable. This was a girls getaway and the four of us were very comfortable in the unit. It was nice to be able to walk to town. We had so much fun! Snorkling at Kahalu'u was breathtaking. We were so close to the turtles! We also enjoyed BBQing at sunset right by the ocean front pool! Did I mention the Kona sunsets? They are awesome.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

  It looks nice from the pictures but it is quite rundown, and the stove well only 2 burners work and the oven lites up about 20 minutes from when you turn it on. You can do way better in the same complex for less money even.

  Recommended for: Pet owners.
