Island Tower is the most luxurious condominium in Gulf Shores. Building has won construction awards. It has only 62 units (3 per floor) allowing for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing sanctuary. All of the units in Island Tower are 3 BR/3 BA with 1605 SQ FT. All units feature panoramic views of the beach through the 9 Ft floor to ceiling glass.
This unit towers above the all the other buildings allowing for unobstructed views for miles from the living room and bedrooms. The large balcony off the living room and master bedroom is truly breathtaking and a perfect setting for relaxing. The second balcony has beach views along with views of Big Lagoon and Oyster Bay.
This unit has been professionally decorated in a style that is both luxurious as well as comfortable. The gourmet kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter-tops and beautiful cabinetry. In the living room you will find a flat panel TV with surround sound, DVD player and a stereo. The unit has beautiful tile floors as well as granite counters in all baths.
The master bedroom features a glamour bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. The walk in closet provides plenty of room for clothes regardless if you are staying a week, a month or more. There is a TV, DVD player, ceiling fan and a fantastic beach view.
The two other bedrooms have floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors that lead out to a balcony featuring Gulf and lagoon views. These rooms have TV's, DVD players, ceiling fans. One of these bedrooms has a queen bed with a private bath; the other has a full sized bunk bed on top and bottom with a twin trundle (sleeps 5).
The ground-level of the complex has a beautiful outdoor infinity pool with great seating area and high quality lounge chairs and tables. Both, the indoor infinity pool and the fitness center have floor to ceiling glass for a beautiful view of the beach.
Island tower is conveniently located on Beach Blvd, ½ mile west of HWY 59. We are close to it all but also far enough from the public beaches. Walk to Bahama Bobs for a nightcap or dinner. Walk to the hang out or simply run across the street for ice cream with the kids. There is much to do -- if you want it. If not, retreat (as we often do) to your private oasis in the sky. This part of the beach is less trafficked than East Beach. Words can’t describe this luxury condo, come and stay and you will never want to vacation anywhere else!!

I will let my 11 year old daughter say it for me. I think it is a great place! there were so many different things to do! I thought it was great that it included supplies like boogie boards pool toys.What a great place to stay The beach, the pool, Just too much ! We hope to get back next year

This is a beautifully decorated center unit on the 25th floor. In addition to the living room, two of the bedrooms have direct access to the gulf-front balcony and its incredible views of the water and beach. These bedrooms also have ensuite baths, so really it is like have two master suites. The third bedroom has a bunk with a double on the bottom, perfect for kids. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need to make your own meals, but there are many restaurants within a 3/4 mile walk. The kids enjoyed the beach and indoor pool. We LOVED it, and look forward to coming back. THANKS!

We spent an enjoyable week of spring break in this condo. The views from this 22nd floor corner unit are spectacular. I enjoyed reading my novels both on the beach itself and in the family room or on the balcony. In response to the earlier review, we saw no evidence of the oil spill of last year.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Unfortunately, BP oil spill residue arrived the day before our arrival. I observed oil and tar balls first hand the following morning and contacted the owner's representative of the situation. I emailed pictures of the oil residue on the beach and asked if there were options we could consider for our stay. The response was that he would contact the owner and he assured me they would respond later that evening. Twenty-seven hours later (12:37 pm) I received an e-mail response that the balance of my vacation would be refunded if the conditions were intolerable, however, I would still be responsible for the cleaning fees and needed to vacate by 10:00 am and notify them we were leaving. I left two phone messages with the owner during our stay. Neither was returned. No offer for refund or rate adjustment for first 3 days was offered. We were 850 miles from home and with similar beach conditions along the Gulf Coast we decided to stay and support the local businesses during this devastating event. I realize the owner had no control over the oil spill, however the customer service they provided was far from adequate.
