This island paradise has it ALL!!!

We recently enjoyed a family vacation at this Island Paradise, which I’ve determined is the ideal way to begin a new year. The condo is stocked with all the amenities to pamper six adults, and entertain an energetic 5 year old child with little to no effort. With 3 bedrooms and 2 private lanais, it was possible for our entire family to be in the condo while each of us enjoyed our own private space. The property provides 3 pools, including an amazingly fun and safe (monitored) water slide that guarantees children (and fun-loving adults) will both eat and sleep during your vacation! Beyond the waterslide, the pool areas provide 2 waterfalls and grottos, a pebble-bottom kiddie pool, fountains and a lazy river with ample shallow ledges for the little ones. The grassy areas adjacent to the pools eliminated any sense of crowding, and the paved walkway along the waterfront provided an ideal path for the runners and walkers among us. The beach is just steps from the pool (no need stuff your luggage with toys, the utility closet contains a bevy of beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards, etc.). While swimming just a few feet offshore, my husband and I were surprised by a huge leatherback turtle that floated with us for a few hours. My daughter was thrilled to see schools of spinner dolphins on 2 different occasions, and my husband and I enjoyed watching whales leap from the waters on most days of our trip. The foodies in our family made good use of the Viking kitchen to create gourmet meals when we dined in. The Dukes Restaurant just steps away provided an easy solution to dining out in style, with minimal (no) stress. The onsite market (Aina) serves up a tasty latte, and provides a wide selection of gourmet items. For all your other grocery needs, there is a fully stocked supermarket just across the street. We enjoyed perfect weather (80’s every day), and spent the entire week in bare feet and swimsuits. On travel days we were grateful for the free wifi and printer, simplifying airport check-in for all of us. I’m proud to say the only treat this condo doesn’t offer is the bottomless pina colada….luckily the servers at the pool have this covered!

Our accomodations were way over the top! We had the fortune to meet the owners in Hawaii and you could not find better people to rent from. This condo has a rare and special slider out on the lanai that we could close and keep vertually all of the winds off of exterior living area. A HUGE PLUS! The artwork and furnishings clear down to the salt and pepper shakers were superb. The beds were blissful. And to accentuate this review, it was written by a guy! Perfect for a Family Hawaiian Experience

Just returned from a wonderful 8 nights at the Honua Kai. Do your research and spend a little more to get this unit. Everything is beautifully furnished with comfortable custom furniture and artwork. (Most of the units here are all furnished the same) Evelyn and Anthony (the owners) go above and beyond to insure you will have a good, no hassle time while in Maui. Check-in instructions were simple as well. The resort itself is beautiful, the pools were never crowded and the grounds are maintained very well. We prepared most dinners at the unit, it was perfect to have breakfast and dinner on the lanai. This unit is nice also because it is very private, you aren't staring into any other units. The BBQ on the patio was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Hi Evelyn and Anthony, Just wanted to let you know that we had the time of our lives at your condo-thank you thank you thank you. It was the perfect place for us, we were all in awe at how beautiful the condo was. We made so many memories that I cant even begin to tell you and were so comfortable in your home away from home. Being under one roof made our family time fabulous! It was so nice when watching napping babies that we could see the rest of family having fun either on the beach or in the pool. I have already told people that come into my work, and a family is already interested in my info. As soon as I finish paying this one off I am saving to go back-it went by so fast. Thank you for sharing all your personal stuff with us we really appreciated it. We will be sending some photos to prove our fun as soon as I unpack(had to go to work next morning). My family and I stayed at this amazing condo in February, 2011. I truly can't say enough good things about our experience. The owners were wonderful to work with and incredibly accommodating. The condo was beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. The views from the lanai are truly breathtaking...we saw more whales then we could possibly count!! The grounds were gorgeous. We have three small children and they loved all the pools, as well as the beach! We hope to vacation again in Hawaii and would love to stay here again. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone interested! Truly a vacation of a lifetime!!

Amazing Vacation

My husband, 3 boys and one of their friends just returned from our first trip to Hawaii. I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful condo! The wall of doors to the lanai open up all the way and bring the outdoors right inside. The view is amazing in all directions. We saw a whale within 5 minutes of arriving and several rainbows throughout the week. The entire place was spotless and beautifully decorated and the beds were the most comfortable ones we've ever slept in on vacation. The kids had so much fun at the pool and snorkeling right off the beach--equipment is available for rent right by the pool. We ate at a different restaurant every night and each one was excellent. There is a walkway right in front of the resort that goes for a mile or so along the beach so we got our exercise every morning walking by the ocean! We highly recommend this condo!

Perfect Maui Getaway!

My family and I stayed at Evelyn and Anthony's amazing oceanfront condo in July 2010. We are still talking about how wonderful our stay was at the Honua Kai. The condo is equally beautiful, spacious and comfortable. It has every amenity you can imagine (the outdoor kitchen was a huge plus), is tastefully decorated, offers incredible views of the ocean and the sunrises and sunsets from their lanai are beyond words. There were 6 adults and 2 young children in our party, it was perfect for us, but would also suit a group of just adults or a family with older children too. Not to mention, Anthony and Evelyn were a delight to work with and provided us with every detail necessary to ensure our vacation would be perfect. We cannot wait to return one day soon!

Honua Kai Condo

Staying at this Honua Kai Condo made our Maui family vacation something we will remember for a lifetime. The condo was very spacious, perfectly decorated, and was laid out so each couple had their own private space. We especially enjoyed cooking in the outdoor kitchen... the furniture on the lanai was so comfortable that we spent most of our time out there- day or night. The grounds were immaculate and the pools were as beautiful as the pictures show. We ordered plenty of food and cocktails poolside from the on-site restaurant Dukes and found everything excellent and the service was great. There is a grocery store close by where we bought all the food and beverages to stock the refrigerator- it was only a couple minutes away so quick trips there were easy. We can't say enough positive things about our experience here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a perfect vacation. The view of the ocean and the sunsets each night were priceless!

We had a fabulous time staying at this condo. The Honua Kai is gorgeous and combines all of the conveniences of a condo with the amenities of a luxury hotel. Poolside alccohol and beverage service anyone? The unit itself was decorated to perfection. Everything a gourmet cook could want was available in the kitchen and barbeque on the lanai. And the view form the condo and lanai was breathtaking. There's nothing better than watching whales from your balcony. We had an outstanding time!
