This newly renovated home is situated on a private wooded lot, yet only 4.9 miles to Mt. Snow and a 1/4 mile to the Vast trail and the Moover(shuttle bus to the mountain). It is 5 miles from the historic village of Wilmington and 6 miles to Lake Whitingham, which offers swimming and a boat launch. For additional skiing, Stratton Mountain is located only 19 miles north. This home sleeps 8 adults and 6 children comfortably.
This wonderfully designed home, tastefully finished with new pine walls and hardwood floors, creates a warm cabin feel. The new kitchen offers granite counter tops, hardwood floors, center island with cook top and breakfast bar, and all new appliances. The kitchen flows into the large vaulted dining area which opens to the vaulted living room. This open floor plan is ideal for get-togethers with family and friends. Above the hearth in the living room is a 40 in. flat panel TV where you can watch the game in high-def. The master bedroom is finished with a new king sized bed and a 32 in. flat panel TV above the dresser. Off the master bedroom is a beautiful bathroom, with heated travertine floors, granite counter top, and tumbled stone subway tile in the bath. The full sized washer and dryer is also located in this oversized vaulted bathroom. The kids bunkroom can accommodate six children in the new bunk beds (the bottom is a full sized bed).
The large foyer has heated floors to warm your feet and dry your boots, and plenty of room to store all of your winter gear. The game room offers a wood burning stove, large screen TV, foosball, card table, and Golden Tee Golf. . Also on this level are two bedrooms and a full bath. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, and a flat panel TV. In the larger bedroom there is also a trundle bed.
The sliding glass door leads out to a large deck, offering a gas BBQ, Adirondack chairs, and spectacular sunsets over the Haystack and Mt. Snow ridgeline.
After waking to a fresh snowfall, ride your snowmobile right down to the Vast trail or catch the moover to the mountain. Also within walking distance is the Sitzmark Restaurant, where you can enjoy dinner and drinks.
After a long day of fun, relax in the new 6 person outdoor hot tub or sit by a warm fire. It's the perfect get-away for creating life-long memories!

We fell in love with southern Vermont, and it can be easily reached in under four hours from Long Island NY. We also love all the four season activities this mountain region has to offer, especially snowmobiling and skiing.

It gives you a true wilderness feel as the backyard borders 86 acres of forest. The property also has a seasonal stream running through it.
