Beautiful, private home in a resort setting, nestled against the beautiful Santa Rosa Mountains. Owner's primary residence, (when not visiting relatives out of state) which offers a variety of art, antiques and collectibles, collected from years of travel. Large, private enclosed courtyard, beautifully landscaped, with garden art and interesting artifacts. Outdoor cooking and dining area, as well as lounging area for private sunbathing, with outside speakers for your favorite music. Very private and peaceful.
The kitchen is complete with a large collection of cookbooks, fine china and casual place settings for all your entertainment needs. The detached casita includes a full bath with tub/shower/dressing area, along with a refrigerator and microwave. Ceiling fan and private a/c unit. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The master bedroom has a rose garden view.
Morning walks are glorious, along two golf courses with breathtaking views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the public club house is open for dining and overlooks the golf course, mountains and waterways. The La Quinta Resort is a mere 5 minute walk from the front door and offers live music in an outdoor setting nightly. All resort amenities are available, including the Spa, golf, shopping and dining. Room service is available, delivered to the door. Pool, jacuzzi and tennis court within 100 feet from door.

Year Purchased: 2004
I moved to La Quinta in 2004, from Orange County, California. I work in the local area and serve on the Architectural Committee of our HOA. I am single, well-traveled and prior to moving here, owned my own interior design and floral business for 20+ years, working with high-end properties and individuals, from Orange County to Carmel and 2 major accounts in Seoul, Korea. I enjoy friends, family and entertaining, as well as movies, music and theater. I love the desert life and the beautiful, peaceful and tranquil surroundings here in La Quinta. There is nothing that can adequately describe the beauty and sense of peace the mountains provide.

The location is premium for this area - nestled against the mountain, we are protected from winds and experience the most favorable weather conditions. It provides all the amenities of the world-class resort, with a history back to 1926. The area is surrounded by citrus trees and magnificently landscaped golf courses that provide an amazing view from all angles. Walking in the mornings and evenings affords great exercise and a sense of peace. Close enough to talk to Old Town to visit unique boutiques, shops, restaurants and weekly Farmer's Market. Great coffee shop with homemade goodies while you read the NY Times or local papers. Live music too!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
La Quinta is a small community, offering many art shows, farmers markets and outdoor music and entertainment all through the season. The social life is very active and there are many fine dining establishments. For those who enjoy world class entertainment, there are 5 casinos in the area and they bring top performers to our area. The McCallum Theater also provides a variety of performances from Broadway musicals/dance to comedians and dramatically performances. There is also a small community theater. There are many outdoor eating areas, coffee shops and wine tasting rooms, most with live entertainment in the evening. For those who enjoy hiking, there are many trails, as well as jeep tours into the mountains. The famous area of Joshua Tree is within a 30-40 minute drive.
