The bedrooms of this villa are perfectly situated to allow for privacy and relaxation. The unit itself was very nice but there are a couple of things to note. First, only 1 packet of dishwasher detergent was provided. I think there should be at least 2. Second, the mattress in the master bedroom upstairs was very uncomfortable. It is raised in the middle and slopes down on the sides. The owners might want to think about replacing it. And finally, the phrase "beach access a short walk away" in the description of the unit is a bunch of bullcrap. The unit is almost at the end of the complex and is a 20 to 30 minute walk from the beach depending on if you walk back to the end of the road or cut across around the lake and come out further down on the main drag. We had to pack up our stuff each day and drive to the beach. If I had known this unit was this far from the beach, I would never have rented it. "A short walk away" is very misleading.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

The listing for this property was accurate as well as the furnishings and the apperance etc. The condo was clean and suited my families needs perfectly. We had ducks and turtles popping by every morning and afternoon to be fed. My four year old grandson happily obliged them every time they came around. We all loved sitting out on the deck in the morning and evening, as well. Something that is not mentioned on the website , there is an outside shower on the deck also in the front patio area. It's great to be able to clean the sand off before coming inside. The new salt water pool was wonderful, couldn't get the kids out of it. I'm glad they enlarged it as well. My daughters and I love the Bayside area, it's great for running, walking and biking. It's really beautiful on that side of the resort. While we were in Sandestin we had our family pictures made by Andrea Benson Richards, owner of Coastal Reflections. After the photography session was over we had dinner at Pompano Joe's on the beach. For dessert we had ice cream at Bruster's. We also went to the Village of Baytowne Wharf which is on the Bayside. We ate pizza at Roberto's it's really good. If you go there go early in the evening and do some shopping at the boutiques. Of course you have the outlet mall, Silver Sands to do major shopping at. My only complaints with the condo are that the owners should replace the cookware. The teflon coating is scratched and coming off of the skillets. It really isn't very healthy to be cooking out of them. I don't know if you can have a grill on the deck but it would be nice. The maid service only puts one towel set per person in the bathrooms and one kitchen towel and one dish cloth in the condo. It makes for doing laundry alot more than you normally would. That being said, I did call Platinum Services they did bring more towels for us. To the owners of the condo we appreciate you allowing us to make your home ours for a week. We throughly enjoyed every moment we were there. Thank you so much!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
