This secluded three bedroom, three bathroom log cabin is perched high on the mountain and has a 360 degree panoramic view of three states - GA, TN & NC! This view is truly breath taking, and is visible from almost anywhere in the cabin. The main level of the cabin has the living room, SAT TV / DVD, local telephone service, wood burning fire place, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, full bath, bedroom with queen size bed. The front of the cabin is all glass so you have a full view of the mountains from the kitchen, living room or dining room. Just off the dining room area is a covered deck with charcoal grill, round table and chairs and extends to an open ship front deck with rocking chairs where you will enjoy watching the sunrise or sunset - what a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee!
The loft area has a bedroom with a king size bed and master bathroom and a private deck with rocking chairs where you may enjoy waking to the beautiful sun as it peeps over the mountain top! The lower level of the cabin has a den with two leather sofa's, pool table, bedroom with queen size bed and full bath. There are sliding glass doors that also make the mountains visible from the den. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, family vacation or some quality time with friends this cabin is exactly what you are looking for. The open floor plan of this cabin makes you feel like you are actually sitting on top of the mountain in the middle of nature at it's best.
All of our cabins include linens, dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, towels, wash clothes, etc... We will provide an initial supply of guest soaps, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and trash bags. We suggest that you bring additional supplies for an extended stay of paper towels, trash bags, soap, starter logs for wood burning fireplaces, charcoal for grill (if needed-gas is provided for gas grills) and washing powders.
Nearby attractions include fishing / flying fishing in the fabulous Toccoa River, hiking the beautiful trails of North Georgia, biking, Antique Shopping, White Water Rafting, Horseback Riding, Scenic Train Rides and the famous Swan Drive In (downtown Blue Ridge).
For the thrill seeker, this cabin and its local surroundings offer something for everyone. The water adventurer can experience the same route and thrill as Olympians did during the 1996 Summer Olympics on the Ocoee River. The White Water rafting and kayaking is an experience like no other and will put your skills to the test. For the less adventurous, you can enjoy our more tame activities in the surrounding areas such as hiking, fishing, swimming, tubing, water skiing, boating, biking, horseback riding, and much much more.
For the nature seeker and observer, The Aska and surrounding areas still provide the luxurious changing of the Seasons, where in the Fall the trees and Mountains are full of colors with breathtaking views. With the changing of the leaves brings multiple festivals such as The famous Apple and Sorghum Festivals and Harvest Sale. If driving is not the way you wish to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, then let others do the driving by taking a leisurely trip on our local Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. The locomotive will wind you through the mountains along side the Toccoa River with stops in the twin cities of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN, allowing you to enjoy the locals and their amenities.
Families enjoy our local Apple house and Merciers Apple Orchard where you may enjoy picking and purchasing even the rarest of produce. You can sit down inside and enjoy the famous fried apple pies with a glass of cider.. No fall day could be more complete. Enjoy the close by pumpkin patches, corn mazes and many other fun activities.
