Our family of two adults and two children had an incredible vacation at this lovely home. The house itself was very comfortable, although my kids had to adapt to no bathtub. But they did fine taking showers for the first time. The home's location is outstanding not only for being just steps from the beach and water but also for being a few blocks from restaurants and stores. We had the BEST blueberry muffins at West Bay Diner--I wish I could've brought a dozen home with us! Every night we were treated to stunning sunsets, each a different color than the one before. One night the sunset was purple and pink; the next it was fiery red and orange. We enjoyed picking up beautiful Lake Superior rocks along the shore. (The selection along the beach at Woodland Park was the best we found.) One night, we built a fire in the fire pit and sat outside in the cool night. It was particularly dark because a new moon was just days away, and I was able to see satellites in the sky and the Milky Way! We will never forget this vacation. Thank you so much, Tom and Jo! P.S. Thanks for the bottle of wine--we really enjoyed it!

Wish I were still in this lovely, comfortable, welcoming house! Hard to say which is better: the excellent location or the amenities of the house. Sitting inside reading or out on the deck, waking in the morning or eating dinner, you always have an incredible view of the lake. The house is perfectly maintained with all those little extras that make a stay memorable: comfortable mattresses, plenty of hot water, appliances that work, beautiful stones from the shore, and the owner's own art. Where else can you see sunrise and sunset from the same spot, or go to sleep to the sound of the loons' calls? Where else can you walk to a funky diner with great home-cooked food, plenty of local history, and a gorgeous beach covered with amazing rocks? Thanks to the owners for letting us share this, and for taking such good care of us! Nancy and Bill Kreml

My sisters and I stayed here for a week. Plenty of room and all amenities. The property was better than the photos and the owners make sure all questions are answered and more. Renters feel very welcomed. The cottage is close to everything you would want in Grand Marais. Very relaxing, very beautiful. I would highly recommend this property.

I can't say enough about how fantastic my stay was! This property is extremely well maintained and has an unbeatable location. The owners were very professional and easy to deal with, they even left a surprise bottle of pinot in the refrigerator for us; 100% class all the way. Anyone looking for a relaxing getaway weekend in a beautiful, quiet setting need look no further.
