Featherstone's House of the Rising Sun is a completely new two story guest cottage. Professionally decorated and with every possible amenity, it is located on a totally private 1 1/2 acre beach. Away from all noise and traffic and with no electrical or phone lines in sight, you are at one with the sea and the sky.
The downstairs living area includes a full kitchen, dining area and living room with satellite TV, DVD and VCR as well as a sound system. All this decorated in a blend of tropical and Asian motifs. In front is a lanai with seating for afternoon relaxation. Out back, under the almond trees and in your private garden, is your very own hot tub.
Upstairs is a large bedroom with king bed beautifully decorated in the soft, relaxing colors of the sea. There is a large and comfortable window seat for relaxing and reading. Art work by renowned artist, Dawn Rentz, adorns the walls. The bathroom is adjoining.
There is a small refrigerator inside the large closet for the convenience of your cool drinks or snacks while upstairs. Outside this bedroom is a balcony for long range views of the Caribbean Sea that take your vision all the way to Little Cayman to the West and to the bluff at the East end of the island. It is large enough for resting, reading or eating.
Situated on the most beautiful private beach on the island, this cottage is luxury at its best!

By profession I have had, for over 30 years, an executive search firm that is specialized in Advanced Telecommunications. In addition, I have an Interior Design firm that serves the needs of the island community. All my children are grown. My other residence is in Asheville, NC.
Why the Owner Chose Bamboo Bay
Cayman Brac is a British owned island and so a friendly and stable government. You can own property here without fear of having it taken away under an unstable government. It is an English speaking culture. There is absolutely no crime on Cayman Brac. The island is still in the top 3% of clean air and water left on the planet. The people are friendly and welcome guests to their island with a generous spirit. In addition to all this, it is a uniquely beautiful island with a bluff that rises to a height of 143' above the sea at the East End. Watching the moon rise from this pinnacle is worth the entire trip to the island. This, of course, does not preclude the fact that you can see the bottom of the sea at 30' or the sunsets that leave a green flash over the water due to their intensity or that the warm, balmy breezes will not let you have a moment of stress left in your body.
