Best place to stay in Confluence. Clean -- very important to me. Owner very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend and will return next year. It's a beautiful, roomy house. Walk to trail, rivers, restaurants in a beautiful town.
Owner response:Thanks for your very kind review. We also feel that cleanliness is very important in a rental home. We take pride in keeping our house spotless! We hope you do stay with us again next year!

Since Confluence is our hometown we gathered here from out-of-state and locally for our first ever Cousin Reunion. This Dam Yough House was the perfect home away from home for us to welcome family from everywhere. The house is everything it is advertised to be and more. It was very very clean and neat, but without giving the feeling that you shouldn't touch anything. If I had to use just one word to describe it I think it would have to be "cozy". The rooms are spacious and the kitchen very clean and well-equipped. They even have a corkscrew for the wine bottles. When we arrived the owner had left a note with his local phone number just in case we needed anything. When we called to ask him to uncover the AC unit because of the humidity, he was there in a few minutes and granted our request. What a nice man. He made us feel like we had a nice neighbor to depend on. We were all pleasantly surprised at all of the activites in and around Confluence. I certainly would recommend this house to anyone for anytime of the year. Thanks for having such a nice place. I know we will stay there again.
Owner response:Thank you for the nice review of our home. We pride ourselves on having a clean, well equipped and comfortable home for our guests! So glad you enjoyed it!

That Dam Yough House was such a treat. I grew up in Confluence and return here for a month every summer. My family loves it and enjoys all that it has to offer. The house was perfect for us in so many ways. Plenty of space for everyone, beautiful craftsmanship, clean and so comfortable. We biked or walked just about everywhere and enjoyed sitting out back in the evenings. We were lucky enough to get a few things from the garden to throw into our pasta sauce one afternoon. The Virgins have made this a lovely destination and we can't wait to come back.

"That Dam Yough House" is absolutley amazing!!! It is always immaculate and well stocked for our whole group...all 10 of us one time! Its spaciousness has allowed for some pretty fun parties the whole group could comfortably enjoy (don't worry, nothing too wild), and its charm of being a true log cabin really helped to set the ambiance for our group. My husband and I spent our first vacation here while we were dating accompanied by 8 other friends, and we recently went back for our first wedding anniversary (just the two of us). It is one of our favorite vacation spots year round! We both learned how to ski at the Seven Springs ski resort on our first trip, and we had a fabulous dinner at "Helen's" at the resort...(make a reservation; it is the best steak you'll ever have!) We also had a great dinner and spa experience at the Nemacolin spa. For our anniversary this past summer, we biked the 12 mile Great Allegheny Passage up to the gorgeous Ohiopyle Falls. We also experienced our first PA Wine and Food Festival, which was a blast...3 cases of great PA wine and a bag of homemade kettle corn later, we headed home. We always stand out a bit at "Double D's Roadhouse" just up the street from the house(great drink specials), but we love hanging out with the locals and hearing their fun stories. "That Dam Yough House" feels like a home away from home for us, whether we go with a large group or have a romantic getaway for just the two of us. The small town of Confluence reminds us to slow down a bit and breath in life and nature's beauty, and the perfect house completes our experience. We will go back (at LEAST once a year), so put us on the regular's list, as "That Dam Yough House" has become an annual tradition! Thanks for opening your home to two people who fell in love on the slopes out there and find comfort in your magical, yet quaint log cabin home. We love it!!

What can I say, another amazing trip with a phenomenal group of people in one of our favorite places to stay. We finally got to use our ski gear from last year, although it wasn't used for skiing, the tubing experience was great!

We had an awesome time. The house is great, comfortable, fully stocked kitchen with we utilized!! I love the stone, first order of business when we got in each day was to start a fire. Skiing at 7 Springs couldn't have been better, even for us "old folks" who hadn't been on skin in eight or so odd years. We will definitely be back! Thanks!

Got here on a rainy night and were immediately cheered up by the house. We're biking from Boston PA to MD. This is the 3rd of 5 nights and by far the best accommodations. The town is super friendly (met the mayor and his two dogs). Thanks for the experience!
