Great house in the woods and minutes from the beach. Layout of the house is great so much room and if you need to get away from your other guests for a little bit the house makes it so easy. Owner is more than happy to answer any questions or needs. We will be back and this time bring friends and family. Thanks Darrell

Do not miss the opportunity to stay at the Arch Cape Lodge as it is exquisite. Our visit was amazing and thanks to previous reviews, we had some high expectations. Listen to the raves about this lodge and the owner. I will refer my family and friends to this vacation destination for any day of the week. The lodge has it all, natural beauty, accessible living, modern luxuries, and a unique motif that will keep you coming back for more. I anxiously await our next visit to Arch Cape Lodge.
Owner response:THANKS: it's what my son and I work for. Shortly we will have a theater room, 10' TV, bunkhouse and 1100 sq ft 12' ceiling rec room. Sleep 15 to 20 easy. Darrell & Eli

My husband and I went and stayed at Arch Cape Lodge for our 11th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time. The house was clean, the large jet bath tub was amazing, the bed was super comfortable and the price was really reasonable. We got to see a herd of elk right out side the house. I would love to go back again some time and highly recommend this home for others.
Owner response:A great couple and left it really clean my house cleaner said; they pay the min. cleaning fee. Charge less, good people and everybody wins. Darrell Owner/builder

My guests and I just returned from an excellent stay at the lodge. I rarely take the time to write reviews but felt compelled to in this case. The Lodge was great place for our group which consisted of two couples. The layout of the lodge allows for privacy as well as a social space to gather in the kitchen. It's so secluded you would think you're out in the middle of nowhere, yet it's an easy twenty minute drive into either of the two closest towns. It promises to be truly amazing once he finishes. Add to this an amazing price point and you can't loose. You would be hard pressed to even get a decent hotel room for what you'd pay to rent this place. Much less anything nearly as nice as the the bed you'll sleep in if you're lucky enough to score the master suite.

We had hoped to spend more time at the beach but the weather was wind, rain and finally snow. So we ended up spending more time at the lodge. There is good wifi connection and lots of TV channels. We also went up to Seaside to the outlet mall and got some killer deals. Had lunch at a cute resturant in Cannon Beach. The lodge is in a good location, is well stocked and comfortable and in a beautiful setting.
Owner response:The best beach I have seen and love when it snows on the ocean. 3 pellet stoves w/ electric back up; Lodge is warm. Maintence will be the best always. Darrell/owner

Amazing is the one word that I would use to describe the Arch Cape Lodge. The Lodge is more than comfortable; it felt like being at a resort. The home was well furnished and had more than enough amenities with the master bedroom and the two other bedrooms having their own restrooms and kitchenettes. It made it the perfect place for us to rent because all of our parents were staying with us so it gave us plenty of privacy but allowed us to still enjoy each other's company. We also liked the large shared kitchen which made the perfect area for family to gather around and socialize. The surrounding landscape was also breathtaking. My husband even enjoyed a walk along the beach at low tide which took him to a archway that lead into another beach. The owner Darrell, was very professional by promptly answering all our questions and made us feel welcome at his Lodge. I would say that this is the best place to stay near Cannon Beach. We will definitely return to Arch Cape Lodge for our anniversaries. Thanks for everything Darrell.

Wow what a lovely home, and the pictures don't quite give it justice!!! Beautiful home with custom touches that make it feel like a home away from home not just a vacation rental. The kitchen is full sized with everything you need to cook great meals. Huge wrap around deck with BBQ and a sink and butcher block so you can prep outside. This house and grounds are a"10"!!!! The Master Suite is an apartment in it self ( I highly Recommend if you make the reservations to call dibs on the master bedroom), all the bedrooms are great with their own private baths. We spent a rainy few days in May just resting staying by the pellett stoves and just enjoying ourselves. We had to force ourselves to get out of the house to go to Cannon Beach for a few hours which by the way is right down the road a few miles.I'd like to keep this lovely home my little secret but... I can't wait to share it with Family and friends!!!! This could easily sleep 8 people and all have privacy ! It's just a great design!!! The owner thought of some unique details that make this home extra special. The beds were wonderful and Kings too!!!! Don't have to go home to get a good nights sleep!! Thanks Darrell for sharing this great home will us "until we meet again". It was a pleasure working with you we will be back!!! The George's
Owner response:Thanks and please all resond. This is what I want to hear and the Lodge will always be well maintained and absolutly clean with the best linens and sleep acommodations. Love to hear you were happy.... Will be over 5000 sq ft soon... pretty much same price.... Darrell

It was so much more than we had hoped for. Such a beautiful place to stay. Nice little walk to watch the sunset. The owner thought of everything when creating this place. The most accommodating owner Ive ever done business with. Perfect!
Owner response:Thanks Janel: Been in business 45+ years. I always worry about making sure I have a repeat customers. Making money at the start of a business is not as important as building the business. The Lodge will almost double in size with price basicly the same; just charge extra for extra people and cleaning will stay "what it costs me to have it professionally cleaned". Check out the Lodge pictures 01/01/12. BEST DEAL ON THE COAST!!!!!!! Darrell

We found Arch Cape Lodge to be everything we hoped for our three family gathering. We were welcomed by an immaculately maintained house with everything we needed. Fireplaces were especially cozy and warm during some very rainy weather. Owner was wonderful to work with and very accomodating. We recommend Arch Cape Lodge to any and all who seek a cozy hide-a-way near the ocean.
Owner response:They left the Lodge in great shape and pleased they enjoyed their stay!!!!. Soon the theater room, bunkhouse and 1100 sq ft rec room will be done. Now it's about 3000 sq ft, will be over 5000 sq ft. Thanks for your interest. Darrell

Fantastic place! All wood interier, lots of TLC went into this lodge. Beds very comfortable, bedrooms very spacious each with microwaves, sinks and full baths. Darrell provides little extras, BBQ, pellets, towels. This place is truly a home away from home! Highly recommend, great owner to work with and accomadating. Readily available if or when you have questions. Elk wondered very close 2 out of our 4 day stay. Ocean is visible and easy access walking to it. We'll be back - Thank you!

Outstanding house and location. Beds are comfy and cooking facilities are perfect for those who don't want to eat out. Hosted 50th anniversary party for 15 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room for all and many more. Darrell is a great host and very professional in serving his guests. Have rented many homes from VRBO and find this to be one of the best.
Owner response:Thanks Dick & kay: Love to hear guest are happy. Makes it worth the effort. BEST DEAL ON THE COAST IS MY GOAL. The Lodge will soon have sleeping for 14 ( bunkhouse ), theater room and a 1100 sq ft rec room ( garage ) as nice as the house w/ 12' ceiling, pool table, kitchenette, wood stove, 2 more TV's which will make it 7 TV's w/ premium channels. Thanks from Darrell, rt & tt

Thank you greatly for giving us the opportunity to stay at your lodge. We were amazed by the photos when we first checked out the cabin however, we were truley stunned at how beautiful all the detail went into making the lodge. We all enjoyed our time and hope to be invited back again. Very professional to work with, easy to find and yet tucked away in the trees with the views and sounds of the ocean near by. We truley would be honored to be invited back again! We have already started to make plans on when we can come back again. We were all very impressed and extremly satisfied. Charlie & Jen, Shawn & Cristi, Matt & Sara
Owner response:Very nice responce but I love the Lodge just as much and I built it. Well, but no pets and I have 2 rotts that need no leash around people that can't visit the Lodge. Thanks for the review Charlie and your family is welcome anytime. December I finish the 1000+ sq ft Rec room, theater room with 9'X13' screen and bunkhouse to sleep 18+ total. It will still be the BEST DEAL ON THE COAST. I will charge low flat rate to 6 people than by the person per day: this is what I'm thinking now because the extra room is for families not parties. Age 30+ will stay or maybe 35+.

Great cabin in the woods close to the beach. It is the perfect get-away with all the comforts of home. The pellet stoves make it warm and cozy even on those rainy days when you just want to stay inside and play games and read by the fire. This was a immaculately clean home and the beds were heaven!
Owner response:VERY NICE FAMILIES GLAD THEY ENJOYIED THEMSELVES. LEFT LODGE CLEAN $75 CLEANING FEE.

The Arch Cape Lodge by the Sea is a wonderful place to stay. The surrounding area is full of places to walk and explore. We even saw a family of elk several times in the meadow nearby. Each bedroom could be a self-contained unit of it's own. The kitchen has a great, big counter with lots of room to spread out, with lots of pots and pans and utensils. The weather was very temperate during this trip. Although overcast, it was very mild and not breezy. There was plenty of parking and lots of closet and cabinet space. I'm sure we'd return again.
Owner response:Very nice family accually my second person to book time at the lodge. respected the lodge and left clean: cleaning fee $75.

It is impossible to oversell this place. The vacation home is very comfortable and everything is top of the line. The location is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The home is in a rainforest a short walk to the Pacific Ocean. No one was on the beach each time we went down. There are so many things to do either way up or down the coast. I love old growth trees and if you look for them there are plenty. It was the best vacation our family has ever had. For the price of the rental, taking into account for the luxury and the location, (huge place), you won't find a better deal on VRBO or anywhere else. Arch Cape area is a slice of heaven. Memory foam mattress assures a good nights sleep so you can explore all day. THANKS DARRELL
Owner response:Great renter; good family, respected my lodge. Cleaning fee $75. Welcome back anytime.

We just got back from staying at this beautiful beach house. The bedrooms are spacious and each has a kitchen. Would be great for 3 couples or large family to have their own space. The owner has really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It is a nice quiet location and only about 10 minutes to Cannon Beach. Have a great time!
Owner response:Great renters and respected the lodge. There clean up fee was $75.00.
