Our house is located on Blackrock Drive, a convenient, central location on the mountain. Tyro ski slope is just across the street, the beautiful view from Three Ridges Overlook is just down the road. It is a short walk to Blackrock market and the Mountain Inn where shops and restaurants are located.
Our house has an open floor plan which is conducive to spending time with groups of friends and family. When you walk in the front door you go up a few steps and enter the great room which has a large leather sectional sofa and a grand, locally-sourced stone wood-burning fireplace. The spacious kitchen and dining room are contiguous to this area so it is comfortable to cook and enjoy meals as a group. Off of the great room is a sun room with floor to ceiling windows on two sides and access to the deck. The fireplace also opens into the den which has a brand new 46" flat screen TV with a Blu-ray player. The hot tub room is off the den and has its own, private deck. There is also a large deck with an outdoor dining table and gas grill.
All of the bedrooms, three full baths and the air hockey room are downstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed, its own full bath and a wood burning fireplace. There is another queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in each of the remaining three bedrooms (for a total of 6 twin beds). Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, closet, drawers, and separate thermostat.
It is a very comfortable house and tastefully decorated. We have two small children and have furnished the house with their enjoyment and safety in mind. Behind the house there is a playhouse for the kids.
There are many activities to enjoy in and around Wintergreen. In the house we have information about hiking trails and area attractions such as wineries and restaurants for your perusal.

Wintergreen is a fabulous resort for families with children. There are many activities for kids and one benefit of the location of our house is that many of them are within walking distance.

The description and photos of the house was very accurate. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The communication was great with Shannon. We would definitely love to stay here again if we have another family reunion. The large open kitchen and dining table were perfect. The weather was even perfect.

We really loved this place! The home is well maintained, and when a snowfall rendered the driveway too deep to drive, a quick call to Shannon and someone was there to plow it out within 15 minutes! Another call regarding the hot tub was answered quickly as well. The size and layout of this home worked well for our family, some extended family and even the pups to gather for games, as well as skiing. Plenty of sleeping room, as well as a huge dining table and various gathering spots so people don't have to be on top of each other. Thanks guys, we sure enjoyed our stay!

Our family had a wonderful Fourth of July vacation celebrating my mother’s 80th birthday. The listing was exactly described. The well-maintained home has a great location near the Blackrock market, resort amenities, area wineries, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive and many other hiking trails. This house was spacious and a perfect place for any family gathering or cozy party! The kitchen was very well equipped and the family-size dining table was great to gather around. We enjoyed the outdoor deck and even saw deer next to the house one morning. The owners were very helpful in answering all of our questions. If you're looking for a house in Wintergreen, we strongly recommend this one!
