This pet friendly log cabin is on over five acres of private land and a great distance from other homes. Gorgeous mountain and lake views can be enjoyed from the large wrap-around deck. You are a stones throw away from both Eleven Mile Reservoir State Park and Spinney Mountain Reservoir State Park. You can actually see both reservoirs from the deck!
The cabin is 3000 square feet with plenty of space - three bedrooms; loft; two bathrooms; and full walk-out basement. It is located between Lake George and Hartsel about a two hour drive southwest of Denver through Fairplay. Or it can be reached by driving only one hour west of Colorado Springs!
One thing you will notice right way as you enter the log home is peace. The home is surrounded by nature and you can enjoy a very peaceful and relax morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail in the sunset while enjoying the wildlife visitors including: elk, deer, moose, fox and antelopes ... right from the deck!
Some of the amenities we offer include: TV, DVD player, CD player stereo, woodstove, large wrap around upper deck, CD's, family and adult movies, adult books, board games, washer/dryer, outdoor gas grill. X-box, including games, kids board games.
Our impeccably clean cabin has a King size bed and a queen size pull out couch in the master suite, a Queen size in a guest bedroom, two twin size beds in the other guest bedroom, and a queen size pull out couch in the loft. There is a five piece master bath and a guest bathroom.
Eleven Miles large reservoir is known for its outstanding fishing - when not reeling in a rainbow, brown, cutthroat, kokanee, or pike, there are nearly five miles of scenic hiking and biking trails that await exploration. Camp comfortably in designated campsites located around the shoreline, nestled among trees in the backcountry, or tucked away in secluded canyon pockets and remote hillsides. Ideal wind conditions make Eleven Mile a popular but not overly crowded destination for sailing, windsurfing and winter ice boating on this wide-open reservoir. Motor boaters and kayakers also find plenty of room to play during the summer months.
Many species of birds reside in or migrate through the park, making for wonderful bird watching prospects. Neighboring park, Spinney Mountain, offers additional opportunities for birding and fishing. Waterfowl hunting chances for a wide variety of ducks are excellent and are available each fall!
