Cottage was just what we were looking for, very cozy but plenty of room. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. the location and views are great. The owners could not have been accommodating they were super easy to deal with we had a great time.
Owner response:The views in the winter are wonderful and magical when it is snowing. I happen to love the summer and fall because I feel like I am in a tree house. Every window provides a view of the tree tops. We enjoy working with our guests to make their visit to our home in Vermont memorable. We look foward to hearing from you again.

8 of us (4 couples) rented the house for New Year's eve weekend, and were so happy with everything about it. We each had our own room. The dining/living area and kitchen are perfect for making meals while hanging out. Jacuzzi was great. And the location overall was perfect. It's cozy, but super comfortably, and I would definitely stay here again! Everyone loved it.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are always happy to hear that our guests have enjoyed the house and the time that they have spent there. We look forward to hearing from you again.

This wonderful property allowed us to bring our dogs along on our annual ski trip to Killington. Close to all the mountain activities but away from the crowds. Great layout, clean and well appointed.
Owner response:We are pet friendly and have not regretted the decision to allow pets. Our guests have always been very mindful of maintaining the condition of the house and managing their pets to do so. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit and hope to hear from you again.

My family had an awesome time staying here during our spring break for some last of winter fun at Killington. We actually got 6 inches of fresh snow! The bedrooms were perfectly suited to our family and we enjoyed the open floor plan of the upstairs and the private hot tub on the back deck of the lower level. The family room in the lower lever worked out great for late night movie watchers! A wonderful place in a wonderful location and dealing with the owners was easy and they were very helpful with any questions we had along the way! We'd go again in a heartbeat!
Owner response:We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Vermont. This was our best year as far as weather and having wonderful people enjoy our home and the mountain. We are always working to improve the house. This year we are replacing appliances in the kitchen, putting up a flatscreen TV in the living room and adding WIFI. The hot tub cover took abit of a beating so that will be replaced as well. I look forward to hearing from you again.

We had such a awesome time. Your house was perfect for us. It was very clean & well maintained. Not to mention the foot of snow we got. We will definitely recommend this house to our friends next year. Thank you Pat & John!
Owner response:I wish I could put in an order for snow everytime someone rents the house. It is magical to be there during a snowfall. I never tire of hearing that people have enjoyed visiting our home in Vermont. I look forward to hearing from you...and your friends next year. Thanks, John and Pat

Myself and five friends (all in our late 20's) had the house for Presidents Week and really enjoyed ourselves. While, as noted, it does look small when you pull up, it really is much larger when you get inside! We arrived to find the house in really great shape--very clean and very comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed, the stereo system sounded great, and the fireplace was perfect to sit in front of with a nice glass of scotch. Both bathrooms were spotless and the hot water stayed hot as long as you needed it to. The grill cooked us a couple perfect steaks (good meat at the market btw) and to top it all off, the hot tub made everything perfect at the end of the day--we turned ourselves into prunes every night. The cottage itself was is in a great location if you want to hit the bars (Terry from Gramps taxi got to know us well) and they kept the road plowed well when it snowed. Couldn't have had a better time! Pat and John were a pleasure to deal with and would definitely recommend them and their place to anyone looking for a good time in Killington!!
Owner response:Your appreciation of our home is so welcomed. We have put alot of time and energy into making this a comfortable and inviting home. Your comments have inspired us to continue to strive for a higher level of satisfaction. It is also good to hear that our property manager and the cleaning people are doing a great job. We will pass your comments on to them. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit to our home in Vermont and look forward to hearing from you again.

We rented this property for a mountain getaway this past summer and had a wonderful stay. The accommodations are first class, with two floors and lots of room for a large family. It was a great find, very conveniently located just off the Killington access road on a very quiet cul-de-sac.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to comment on your visit to our home in Vermont. We are so happy tp hear that you enjoyed your stay. I also enjoy the fact the we are on a quiet cul-de-sac but very close to the action on the access road and the mountain. Hope to hear from you during the ski season.

What a wonderful cottage! We were able to rent for a long weekend with our family and the grandparents while we attended a wedding in Killington. The cabin has that quaint New England charm and we were thrilled to be able to bring our dog with us. Thank you for sharing your place with our family!
Owner response:It is so nice to hear that your family enjoyed your visit to Vermont. We are happy that we were able to make this special weekend comfortable for the family and your dog as well. We look forward to hearing from you again. Thanks, John and Pat

We spent a week at the Sundowner and it was by far the prettiest vacation home we've ever rented. The open layout upstairs is terrific and the extra family room downstairs is great if you have two families. We loved the mountain views, especially from the large hot tub. The owners were a delight to rent from and we would definitely rent from them again. It was very clean and even nicer in person than the pictures. It looks deceptively small when you arrive, but there is actually a lot of room. The outside ski shed was an added bonus. It's also very close to Killington and all the restaurants on the Access Road. We also appreciated having all the kitchen cooking utensils we needed. The beautiful decor of the house gives you such a calm and peaceful feeling. Very relaxing house to stay in.
Owner response:Thank you fso much for taking the time to comment on your visit to our home in VT. I am finding that one of the benefits of working directly with our guests is that we get to meet alot of very nice people. We worked very hard to make our house comfortable so it is wonderful and well worth it to hear that people feel that when they spend time at Sundowner. Hope to hear from you next year.

What more could we ask for? This ski cottage is definitely COZY. We know because it snowed 27+ inches while we were there. We snuggled in and watched the world turn white. Then, we had to ski the "STINKING POWDER." OMG what a vacation!!!!!!!
Owner response:What luck...the best snow storm in years....glad to hear that you enjoyed it..."STINKING POWDER" and all! Thank you for taking the time to comment. Hope you return for another great visit and possibly another great storm.

My friends and I spent an amazing weekend at John and Pat's cabin last February! The cabin is adorable-- cozy and well decorated. The bathroom and bedroom doors make you feel as if you are in you own quaint cottage! Awesome fireplace, comfy couches and everyone fit at the dining table for meals! The size of the cabin is also much larger on the inside, there's a downstairs and a well sized hot tub! The kitchen was roomy and well equipped! We had no problem making pancakes and eggs in the morning. Thanks John and Pat! Until next year! Geraldine :)
Owner response:Thank you for your wonderful response, This was our first year renting on our own and we are excited by the response. Our house was well cared for, everyone had a great time and we enjoyed interacting with all of our guests. Hope to hear from you next year.

We had such a relaxing time at the cottage. It was warm, cozy, clean, and convenient. The kids were very comfortable, as were the adults. We look forward to returning.
Owner response:Thank you Lisa, I hope you are able to visit our home again. I was thinking about you cooking your Thanksgiving dinner for your family in VT while I was cooking mine in PA. Hope it all went well.

This is a great house...when you first pull up and see the front of it, the house looks very small, but it has a great layout that allows for large groups (8-10) to fit comfortably. It is so close to the restaurants and bars and only a few mins to the mountain. The house is set at the end of a quiet road and is a great place for wildlife viewing. The hot tub on the back deck is very relaxing and faces out into the woods to add to the serenity. I definately recommend this house to any groups who love to be near the mountain, the nightlife, while enjoying the peace and quiet, Vermont is famous for!

Looking for a place to stay again this ski season and stumbled upon this house. We stayed here two seasons ago and it was great. Everything was clean, you are close to the main road and there was plenty of sleeping and gathering space. The hot tub and deck off the kitchen are also nice bonuses.
Owner response:Thanks Jason, hope you are able to revisit our home in Vermont.

We enjoyed our stay completely. Everything was neat and clean, with all the necessities of home. It was a very comfortable place to hang our hat while site-seeing in the area. Very quiet and peaceful. Would love to return someday. The Langs from MO.

This house is the perfect place to get away and have a great vacation! Lisa and I stayed here for a long weekend in the middle of the winter and even though we don't ski we still found plenty of fun and anjoyable activities to do. The house is in perfect condition and is in a perfect location. We have many memories from this house, including the time we spent at cheese factory, teddy bear factory, and glass blowing factory. This house is absolutely a 10/10 vacation rental!

My husband and I have stayed at this beautifully decorated and very cozy ski house. It is the perfect location for a ski getaway. It is private and scenic, but close to all ski activities, and Killington night life. Can't wait for a return visit!

Just returning from another wonderful weekend at the Sundowner! Home away from home comforts surround you as you enter the house. Beautifully appointed, yet comfy, warm and inviting. We ordered up some beautiful weather for the weekend and made the most of it by visiting nearby Simon Pearce Glass Blowing Factory, Quechee Gorge, a brewery, Burlington Church St. walking mall and a lazy and wonderful lunch along side Lake Champlain. The weekend was capped off by a challenging yet rewarding hike up to Killington Peak; where the views were breathtaking! Lucky for us, the hot tub was waiting for our return. The home is a pleasure to share in. Many thanks to Pat and John for sharing this little hideaway in the woods with us again and again! We look forward to our trips again next year; we need to plan a family fishing trip with our boys -- hoping we can manage that in the spring.
