Two bedroom, one bathroom condo in a quiet, family neighborhood in Kekaha-Kauai (The Garden Island) Sleep up to six. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, microwave and coffee maker. There is also a washer/dryer onsite, cable TV, DVD player and ceiling fans (no air conditioning).
Two blocks from kekaha beach - famous for its 15-mile of stretch of white sand. This is also the closest town to Polihale State Park and Queen bath beach (kid-friendly) one of the most beautiful, raw and secluded beaches on the Island. 15 minutes from Salt Pond Beach (kid-friendly: lifeguards, showers, rest rooms, picnic tables); 1.5 miles to Waimea Town with local grocery where you can find a variety of local food. One minute to the gateway to Waimea Canyon and Koke'e State Park with amazing trails - if you are into hiking or just want to enjoy the peace and the beauty of the canyon. Close to Navy PMFR base. 10 minutes from Old Hanapepe Town (where you and your family can enjoy the Friday Art Night (6:00-9:00pm).
This is the dry (yes - doesn't rain every day like the other parts of the island), quiet and, laidback side of Kauai, with some interesting restaurants, local shops. If you want, you can also drive west to north side (pretty much the entire island) in a couple hour which will give you a chance to hit all the awesome tourist spots on the Magic Garden Island.
$120/night + any discount - 3 night minimum; $500-600/week (depending upon time of the year); $ 2,000-2,500/month (depending upon time of the year). Or, if you are retired and interest in live on island a few months of the year we can negotiate the price and storage some items as well. All with cleaning fee $2000 REFUNDABLE cancelation fee/damage deposit; plus 4% tax; 10% Kama’aina discount available with proof of residency.
