Our unique treasure (tesoro in Spanish) is located 10 minutes from El Centro and the famous El Jardin, Parochia, restaurants, theaters, etc in a safe and secure gated community. The condo has recently been upgraded with a 900 square foot roof top garden with BBQ area and large table for entertaining friends and family. The roof garden provides a 360 degree view of down-town San Miguel and the surrounding mountains and area.
The condo is built as a "bridge" straddling the access to the other condo casas, assuring an unobstructed view all around and providing ultimate privacy. An atrium with large windows provide a sweeping panoramic view of the surrounding area is located just off the main eating area and contains a lighted fountain with waterfall. The soothing sound of the waterfall adds to the beauty of the living area.
The open design of the condo provides separate areas including entertainment center with modern flat screen TV, Stereo, CD and DVD system. A state of the art, modern central hot water heating system, assures year-round optimum comfort, throughout the condo. The living area offers comfortable European designed couches and the fully outfitted modern kitchen offers granite counter tops and breakfast bar and a comfortable expandable dining room table (up to 6 persons). The large master bedroom has its separate flat screen TV, and a his and her private bathroom.
A recent renovation adds private guest quarters to this beautiful condo. It offers a private entrance and is complete with full bathroom and shower. Ideal for visiting family and friends, while maintaining privacy for all.

Angie and I met on the Internet in 2002. We immediately recognized our common goals and interest for adventure. So, after allowing a couple of years to get job and business commitments organized, we took off for the Mexican Riviera, where Hans had years earlier bought some land on the beach in Troncones (near Zihuatanejo) and developed a small resort. Angie took charge of the hospitality for the guests and organizing the staff and decorating. During a journey through Mexico, we hit upon San Miguel de Allende and our initial one week visit, was extended to two, than to three. After three and a half weeks we had acquired our treasure at El Encanto and the rest is history and the details of same are described in this listing.

This condo is fabulous! It has a very open,airy floorplan with lots of amenities. Everything in the condo is in working order and of top quality, these include the central heating system,rain showers,gourmet kitchen,etc. For our 3 month stay, We have enjoyed the rooftop garden with a view of almost everything in San Miguel. The condo is located a short walk to a local bus which takes you to Centro while enjoying the quiet of La Lejona. I need to mention Estela,the maid.She's exceptional.Upon request,she prepared a beautiful dinner for 6 of us consisting of Chile Rellenos,Salad and Rice. This was a special treat for visiting friends. The owners, Hans and Angie oversee every attention to detail without compromising your privacy. San Miguel de Allende is a city that has so much to offer. History,Character,Culture,Great Restaurants,Golf,Tennis. For Jack and I, it is the people who make this city what it is. I highly recommend El Tesoro. We definitely will return!

We just spent a month at this wonderful condo. It has everything including a large bedroom and two full baths. San Miguel is a great place to visit and this condo provided privacy and all conveniences. Would highly recommend it.

The home was beautiful. Everything about it from the bathrooms to the rooftop terrace were very nice. Had some problems with the company that manages the property; (e.g. not being able to get into the complex on the morning I arrived)
Owner response:Great to hear you enjoyed our condo. The issue of the problems was not related to the management company, but with the new security guard at El Encanto. This has been resolved and we have received only positive comments about our management company.
