A perfect Four Seasons Retreat less than two hours from Philadelphia, Trenton and New York City. Mid Lake at Big Boulder is located on a 175 acre spring fed lake. Our patio sits less than fifty feet from the water with a southerly view that includes the lake with its mountain backdrop and Big Boulder Ski Slope. We enjoy beautiful sunsets all year long. Our first floor unit allows visitors to go from the comfortable living area to the patio and then to the community walking trail in as few as ten steps. The walking path allows for long leisurely walks along the lake shoreline from early spring through late fall. Within walking distance to the ski slope, the outdoor heated pool with hot tub, and the Lake Mountain Club with its sandy beach and heated pool. The Mountain Club also offers a variety of boats, tennis courts, and a play ground. Boulder View Restaurant sits next to the beach and offers great views of the lake. They serve lunch and dinner year round with live music on weekends..
There are several very good restaurants within two miles of Big Boulder including a lake front with an eating deck on Lake Harmony, several casual dining restaurants with great breakfasts, a nightclub, and fine dinning.

Why the Owner Chose Big Boulder
We always wanted a place overlooking a lake to go on weekends as a retreat from the busy pace of life. Big Boulder offers everything we were looking for and more; natural beauty, plenty of opportunity to walk and bike…a romantic hideaway where we can just relax and spend quality time together. We no longer ski, but we sure enjoy watching the slopes during the winter months from our cozy living room while warming by the fireplace!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Big Boulder is a few miles from Lake Harmony, Split Rock Lodge, and the new indoor water park which is open year round. Hickory Run Park with its many hiking trails is only ten miles away. It is only about a thirty minute drive to Jim Thorpe for shopping, sightseeing and great eating. There are three access points to the Lehigh River Gorge Walking/Bike Trail within a thirty minute drive. The Crossings Outlet Shopping Mall is also less than thirty minutes away.

Charming lakeside condo close to skiing!

We stayed here February 25-27 2011 and we could not have been more pleased. The condo was beautifully decorated had really nice lay-out with ample seating in the living room for spending quality time with our family playing games by the fireplace after a long day of skiing. The slidding glass doors allow you to walk right out to the lake. There is a trail along the lake which will take you right to Big Boulder in about 10 min walk. We ended up driving to the slopes for conenience sake - which was about a 2 minute drive. We had such a lovely time and we hope to come back in the summer to experience the unfrozen lake! I would recommend this rental to anyone.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
