My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Whaler. Our kids (ages 8 & 12) fed the Koi fish each morning, and then were off to swim, boogie board, build sand castles and snorkel. They LOVED this beach more than the other ones that they have been to on Maui. We loved the ease of simply walking up to the condo to have lunch and then returning to the beach. The condo has amazing views of the sunsets (and even whales!), and listening to the ocean as we slept was very relaxing. This unit is very clean and had everything we needed (beach chairs, snorkel gear, a beach umbrella). Its location in the two towers is the best - not facing the east means no sun to wake you up too early, and facing the courtyard means it is less noisy (than if you were facing Whaler's Village). Each night we walked to Whaler's Village for dinner and to listen to music (Hula Grill was our kids' favorite). We loved not having to drive unless we wanted to explore - hiking around the Iao Valley (a small, lush area with an interesting rock formation called "The Needle" that is near the airport) or to the north past Kapalua to see blow holes in the ocean. The owners made the process of renting easy, and we definitely plan to return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I love Maui and our favorite place to call home while there is The Whaler. The location can't be beat. There are many restaurants and shops along the beach walk as well as first class golf right across the street. Lahaina has even more restaurants and shops and is just a couple of minutes away by car, or you can even catch a cab or the local bus. If you prefer to spend more time at the condo, you will find everything you need there. The condo is comfortable and well-equipped and is one of the best we have had the pleasure to stay in. When we are not on the fantastic beach or at the pool, we enjoy sitting on the lanai watching and listening to the waves roll in. If you are looking for a great escape to Maui, this is your spot. We will definitely be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I recently stayed at this property and it really made my Hawaii trip. I have been to the islands many times throughout my life and staying at this condo has been my best experience. The condo is spacious and very close to Whaler's Village, the beach, and lahaina is just a short trip away. The proximity to restaurants, shops, and other activities was very nice and allowed us to do many different things. The kitchen was very well stocked which was great allowing us to cook all sorts of delicious fresh caught seafood. The owners were very helpful and answered all the questions I had regarding the unit promptly. I will definitely be staying here again, hopefully sometime soon! *Hint* There is a Costco right outside Kahalui airport. Stock up on all sorts of Vacation food and goodies before traveling to the unit!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I recently returned from a 2 week stay in Maui. While there, we had the opportunity to stay at the Whaler in unit 811. The condo is well decorated and fully equipped with everything you may need. The beach is steps away as is shopping and restaurants. The beach walk is wonderful, and walking up and down made us realize the Whaler is in a perfect location. The owner was very gracious and prompt in answering all our initial questions. Thank you for sharing your condo with us, we will definitely be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
