Whether you come for the fishing, boating, nature trails, or a romantic weekend, Drift Away has all you need. Ample boat parking, 20x40 heated pool, 10x20 jetted hot tub, fishing dock with fish cleaning area, and a sandy beach are just waiting for you.
Inside Unit 8C you'll find cheerful and whimsical decor. We offer Wi-Fi, cable TV, VCR and DVD players, a CD player and an extensive selection of CDs for your listening pleasure, books and magazines and many DVDs to enjoy. More are available at the office, peruse the selections as you check in.
The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities and most of the luxuries. Toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, and blender for those sunset viewing cold drinks. When you are ready to cook your catch, the kitchen is fully stocked including cookware, dinnerware and cutlery.
The master bedroom has a king bed, TV and full bath. The guest room has two wicker twin beds with bath just across the hall. There is also stacked washer and dryer in the laundry room.
Perched above the wildlife filled waters, Unit 8C affords stunning vistas of birds, birds and more birds. Enjoy the balcony as ospreys soar, pelicans glide, egrets and ibis preen almost within reach. Cedar Key is situated in the middle of Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge. Bring your binoculars to spy species of birds including common egrets, snowy egrets, great blue herons, night herons, white pelicans, brown pelicans, cormorants, and white ibis, to name a few. Magnificent Frigate Birds are not uncommon-come marvel as they hover, seemingly motionless. Occasionally bald eagles are seen. More than 250 species of birds have been documented around the island.
Don't want to cook? Cedar Key's finest restaurants are less than two blocks from your island getaway. Golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and boats can be rented for your island stay. Boat tours are available, walk to the Cedar Key Marina and sign up for a sunset cruise. Gift shops, art galleries, a bookstore, our island grocery, post office and a convenience store are within three blocks.
Want to wet a line? Bring your pole and drop your line in the redfish hole at the end of our dock. The Cedar Key fishing pier is on Dock Street, and while waiting for that first bite, affords fine viewing of the Gulf of Mexico. There are several fishing guides for hire in Cedar Key.

This is the most beautiful and well maintained condo we have ever rented on the Gulf Coast. The view is marvelous, especially watching the tidal changes and all the wild life. There are excellent restaurants within easy walking distance and wonderful little eclectic shops all over town. Will we come back again? . . . You bet!!

Very nice condo, extremely clean and well kept. Furniture and beds are really comfortable. The condo pretty much had anything we needed. Sitting on the porch, overlooking the water and watching the wildlife is so relaxing. it is an ideal place to decompress. Cedar Key is such a quaint, slow paced town. No rushing around, just take your time and enjoy the whole experience. Try the sunset cruise for a really nice boat ride. You can tell the owners take great pride in their condo. It is a really, really nice place.
