Welcome to the BAHAMAS! At the HOT PEPPER HOUSE, the stresses of the rest of the world are miles and miles away. Our charming home is built in the traditional Bahamian style with modern amenities.
We are 200 yards from the Cherokee Sound Beach and the long dock. At low tide, you can walk out virtually 1/4-mile into the Cherokee Sound to find shells left by the sea.
You may enjoy the island's Deep Sea fishing where Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, Barracuda, and Mackerel abound. What's more delightful than BBQ'ing the day's catch and retreating to an outdoor dining area for a wonderful meal? Some nights you might enjoy the cuisine at the wonderful restaurants on the island.
In the Summer, you can pick fresh mangos off our own Mango Tree. Our Birds of Paradise, Traveler's Palm, Bougainville, Jasmine, Mango and Sour Orange Trees flourish in our garden.

Year Purchased: 1978
This is a photo of me with my niece from Italy on a trip in the Bahamas. The HOT PEPPER HOUSE is our life long secret hide away. We love classical music, art, gardening and fishing. I was born in Florence, Italy and moved to the United States when I met my husband. Our three children spent their childhood vacations digging in the sand and splashing in the clear blue waters of the barrier reef protected Cherokee Beach. We never had to worry about them being carried out to sea. Our home is perfect for families and couples alike. We often meet our extended family for an island getaway. We are certain you will delight in our most lovely island home.
Why the Owner Chose Cherokee Sound
My husband and I bought the HOT PEPPER HOUSE before there was electricity or running water on the island. In 1978, our neighborhood friends introduced us to the island. After visiting their home, we found the HOT PEPPER HOUSE. We immediately fell in love with the charming style, lovely garden, exceptional beaches and tremendous deep-sea fishing. The electricity and plumbing have been in place for the last twenty years. Today, it's a fully renovated home with modern amenities.
