This home provides the perfect getaway from the city. It is "water access" which means it has its own pier directly across Rock Lodge Road. You can either bring your own boat or rent one during your stay. The neighborhood is quiet which allows for terrific sunsets on the deck.
During the winter months Rock Lodge Road is always plowed so you never have to worry about inclement weather. The ski slopes are minutes away and very convenient to the private ski rental shops if you prefer not to rent at Wisp.
The house has 4 bedrooms with each having a separate private bath. The Master bedroom has a queen bed, the two bedrooms upstairs each have twin beds, and the third upstairs bedroom has a sofa bed. There is a den near the master bedroom which has a sofa bed that allows for 2 people to sleep comfortably. The shopping center nearby provides an excellent grocery store with a wine shop too. You need to know about your wine and liquor stores because Garrett County is a "dry" county on Sunday.
If you would like to see a movie the theater is a short drive over the bridge and has 6 screens. A short drive to Oakland provides for a scene that is directly out of a Norman Rockwell print. It even has a bowling alley with a bar that features beer in a bowling pin shaped bottle and a real jukebox!
Swallow Falls is close by and is worth a hike if you would like to see where Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and others used to vacation/camp to escape the heat of the city. Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece, Falling Waters, is also a short distance away.

The Unique Benefits of this House
My family built this home in 1986. It is lake access with a pier and very close to the ski slopes. It is a terrific location for year round enjoyment. The home has 4 bedroom with 4 full baths and a den with a sofa bed. It is convenient to Baltimore, Washington and Pittsburgh.
