Our beautiful 1800 sq ft. vacation home is spacious, light and airy, with high cathedral ceilings. The main living room wall is glass with a spectacular white-water ocean view of historic Doheny Beach from inside the house. Double glass doors from the living room open onto a 250 sq ft. foot deck overlooking the ocean. The deck is fully covered with a retractable awning for sun protection when needed.
Casa Elevado is located on a cul-de-sac which has been designated as a ‘view-fare’ by the City of Dana Point. By far, the best view of any home in the area. The house also features a mini outside BBQ deck and dining area with a full ocean view. The home has a modern granite kitchen and baths. This is a great house for entertaining those close friends or family you may be visiting.
Perfectly located for any Southern California adventure or business trip. Literally 1 minute to Interstate 5, you can drive to San Diego (South) in 1 hour or head to Los Angeles (North), also in 1 hour. You can get to Disneyland (30 min), Universal Studios, Hollywood, LegoLand, Knott's Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World and much more in 1 hour or less! Enjoy World Class shopping at South Coast Plaza or Newport Fashion Island, both just 20 minutes away.
Kid and Pet friendly, you will be within walking distance to Doheny Beach, Dana Point Harbor and numerous parks where pets are welcome. There is a secluded pet park with an ocean view less than 100 feet from the home. Nearby are fabulous Salt Creek and Trestles beaches, home to many world championship surfing contests. Why the Owner Chose Doheny Beach
We have lived and vacationed in Dana Point for 20 years. Dana Point was still fairly small and quaint when we first came here. It is still relatively small with about 35,000 residents. Even though Dana Point has become a world-wide destination for vacationers, it still has a small town feel and friendliness. Visitors are truly welcome here. Quite a number of celebrities come to Dana Point for quiet, undisturbed vacations. That's why we bought a vacation home here.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love the wondrous, ever changing ocean view. Once a month the full moon rises and lights up the water at Doheny beach. We sit on the deck in awe every time - it is truly spectacular. We also like the close proximity to such a wide variety beautiful parks, hills and beaches to enjoy. We can get to San Diego or Los Angeles for dining or events in just 1 hour. San Clemente, Laguna Beach and San Juan Capistrano all have local theatre groups for a local night out. Our favorite thing is to spend a quiet day at Salt Creek beach. It's just beautiful. Probably what we enjoy most is sharing our vacation home with others. Everybody loves it - it is so relaxing and just has good energy. It is a great house for welcoming both old and newly found friends. Any stress we might have from a sometimes hectic schedule just seems to melt away once we are at our "retreat".
Whale watching in Dana Point happens year around. Gray whales abound during winter months. The larger Blue whales come during the summer months.
1 hour south of Dana Point. Site of many attractions: San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp District and Petco Park
1 hour north of Dana Point. Enjoy Hollywood, Universal Studios, Dodgers, Lakers.
Take a day trip or stay overnight in romantic Catalina. Only 26 miles from Dana Point. Boats leave several times each day from Dana Point to Catalina.

I can't say enough about this house. It is a beautiful open floor plan without an inch of wasted space. The view from the front decks were gorgeous- I made every excuse to sit out there. There is also a back deck off of two of the bedroom that is very quiet and private. The house was just as it said in the listing and the pictures were acurate. Gina was great and kept in contact with us throughout our stay. We made a huge Thanksgiving dinner and had everything we needed. The beach was a pleasant walk from the house and so were several restaraunts. We went to Tijuana, Mexico just as easily as we went to Hollywood. We had such a great time we didn't want to come home. The kids are already talking about next year's trip!!

My Husband and our 2 pups ( Bentley and Eva) just loved the house and its location. The best part of the house besides the beautiful view was the the deck.There were times I could not get my pups to come in cause they just loved laying there in the breeze. We also loved that we could have breakfast and dinner out there many times. Location was great, Salt Creak Beach became our favourite place. Gina and Harold thank you so much for letting us rent your beautiful home for a month. If the pups could talk I am sure they would say the same they made a lot of friends there too. I have rented many homes in SOCAL and this was, without a doubt, the best rental experience ever! The views are over the top. The interior was just as described and shown in photos. Gina is a fabulous hostess who made us feel very welcome in every way. Our dachshund Bopper loved the dog park across the way. I recommend the home without reservation!

Gina & Harold, your house is AMAZING!!! We had the best fireworks show on the 4th and didn't even have to leave the pourch! We love the BBQ and relaxing on the deck outside. This was the best vacation spot it is so close to everything we even rented electric bikes down the road. Your house is lovely & we hope to come back.

Oh my goodness, where do I begin.We enjoyed our stay at the Dana Point vacation home so much!! The owners were so sweet and available to help with any questions we had during our stay. This 2 bedroom house was so much more roomy then I expected. There was not only queen sized beds in each room but a pull out couch in the guest room and a huge sectional couch upstairs that could easily sleep kids...and adults! It was so comfortable, it felt like a home away from home and we found it very easy to relax! I loved so much that this home was dog friendly (that was one of my main concerns before we left home) Our little dog Zoe just loved sitting out on the patio or lounging around the house.The patio with the swing chair was an awesome place to sit during the day but I especially liked it at night, watching the sunset over the beautiful ocean view. WOW! Just spectacular. We loved sitting outside on the deck to have our coffee in the mornings and even had dinner outside and while watching the sunset. I really appreciated the gift basket and the book with information that the owners left out for us so we could see all the activities and sightseeing that were available close by. The freeway was only down the street and so it was very easy to jump on the freeway and go to San Diego or LA. The Dana Point harbor was also really close, so pretty there and had alot of fun things to do and great restaurants....but I have to say, having the kitchen saved us alot of money eating out! What a spectacular place to stay. Coming from Ireland is a long flight and so having such an awesome, comfortable place to stay really made our trip. We will definitly be back!
