We spent our girlfriends 30th birthday in Dundee and this house was perfect for us! Amazing Kitchen, Deck, Hot Tub, Fire pit! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Debbie was a perfect host and even went out of the way to help us with music/ipod dock. Thank you! Thank you! I'm telling everyone I know in the area to stay here, you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the great review, it was nice to meet all of you and we are glad you had such a great time! come back and see us again. Debbie and John Grimm

I rented this home for a girls weekend.... do a little wine tasting, maybe some shopping, and to just get away. This house was perfect! The master bedroom was huge, the kitchen and living space was so open and inviting, the front deck was spectacular, and the hot tub was a perfect way to end the day. After making the reservation I was worried because I thought it would be confusing and difficult to map out a wine tasing route - but the location of the house made it so easy, I had no reason to worry. Dundee is such a quaint little town and THE WINERIES ARE EVERYWHERE! I hope to come back and maaaaaaybe bring the husbands........ :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We were amazed at the house the second we walked in the door. The pictures did not do this place justice. Everythign was spotless and there was so much space. We had 7 of us staying here and it was very good for our group. The grounds were landscaped very nicely and the water feature was just gorgeous. We enjoyed a walk around every morning. I would highly recommend this place. The owners were great to work with and had really great recommendations. Also, our group did a cooking class with Chef Wendy at Wine Country Cooking Studio. Wendy put together a special menu for our group with in season locally grown items.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the great review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay! I will definitely be recommending Chef Wendy, it is amazing what our small town of Dundee has to offer if you really look, besides our wonderful wine industry. And sounds like you took full advantage of our gem and had a great time Take care and come back and see us again John and Debbie Grimm

Three couples who love wine left early Friday morning from Seattle in search of great pinots in Willamette. Started at Rex Hill on way into Newberg at 11:00 a.m. Stopped by this lovely home mid- afternoon for a little break from our wine tasting and to unload our stuff. Were immediately impressed with the house and property. After a few more winery stops we returned to have dinner at the house. The well-stocked kitchen and gas grill on deck made it easy. After relaxing on the deck after dinner ( weather was great ! ) we ended our day with a soothing hot tub. NICE ! After a great night's sleep in the comfy beds, we repeated the same wonderful pattern for Saturday. ( Without the drive from Seattle, we slept in a bit later and highly recommend this convenient location to visit the many wineries in area. ) To recap: House is spacious, clean and inviting. The property is beautiful and private. The owners are great to work with and we hope to return again. It was tough to depart on Sunday. Thank you Debbie & John ! ( Did I mention the hot tub ?)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I was recently married in Dundee and rented this house for my bridesmaids. It was the perfect place to get ready for the wedding and also host a Sunday brunch for out of town family and friends. The bridesmaids had hair and makeup done at the house, the groomsman took care of their preparations in the gym and we had our "first look" on the beautiful wedding site at the top of the property. The views were great, the hot tub was relaxing, and the house was perfect for the Sunday brunch. It was an ideal set-up for my weekend. The owner was great to work with and I will definitely be planning future girls weekends or family gatherings at this amazing property!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. It was comfortably spacious for our family of 7 adults. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. We loved having breakfasts and dinners on the large deck, and had it not been for all there was to do in the area, I could have spent even more time relaxing out there enjoying the view of the valley and the peaceful surroundings and wildlife. We harvested strawberries every day from your garden and got our first look at an artichoke plant! The master bedroom and bath were luxurious and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the water feature and garden right outside the bedroom windows. Plenty of opportunity for birdwatching! The house is even more attractive than it looks in the photos. We were so pleased with the size, the cleanliness, and the comfortable and attractive furnishings. It was perfect for our family to have our own private bedrooms, and comfortable common areas where we could cook and eat together, or relax and play games or watch the large TV in the evenings. There was even a good collection of novels to read! Thanks to Debbie for answering all my questions and offering helpful suggestions. We loved our dinner at Subterra in Newberg! We visited numerous wineries and especially enjoyed the special tour and tasting at Domaine Drouhin. Also took a drive to Carlton to play bocce ball at Cana Feast winery. On the way we stopped at The Republic of Jam in the town of Carlton for a "flight" of jams and delicacies prepared by the friendly owners. That was fun and we purchased several of their jams. We also took a drive on the Historic Columbia River Gorge Hwy on our way back to Portland. Very scenic and we enjoyed the waterfalls. But for a more up-close waterfall adventure, we loved Silver Falls State Park near Silverton. We did a 9 mile hike through the woods and saw 10 waterfalls on the hike loop. Well worth the hour or so drive through farmlands and Christmas Tree farms to get to the foothills of the Cascades. I would certainly recommend your beautiful home to anyone! And we will always have such fond memories of our vacation in the Willamette Valley! Thank you, Debbie and John!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad you were able to enjoy so many places in OR, and that our home was comfortable for you ! Your review is great and might give others ideas for things to do while staying here. come back and see us again ! have a great rest of the year. Debbie and John

We were in the area for 3 days on a search for great Pinot Noir. The house provided everything we needed as a base for our exploration of the surrounding wineries. The hot tub was a delightful bonus as the afternoons and evenings were quite cool and it was great to relax there after a "hard" day of wine tasting. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Dundee area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and friends arranged this rental as a 30th birthday surprise for me, and it kept surprising me over and over. We all went away together, and were so impressed with this property, it was well kept, clean, had everything we needed. The views were stunning, especially from the hot tub which along side the fire pit were big hits. There was plenty of space for everyone with linens and blankets to go around. The location is perfect, so close to many of our favorite wineries and restaurants making the wine tasting weekend complete. We loved the house and highly recommend staying there!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family of ten adults held a reunion at this location for three nights. The home is wonderfully decorated, well-stocked and comfortable. We had no problems accomodating five couples with a private sleeping area for each. The amenities of the home were spot on fantastic.... a great hot tub, fire pit, water feature, deck, TV, computer, and wi-fi. The home is geographically perfect for touring wine country which was our primary focus. Our only disappointment was with the outside traffic associated with the separate gym/recreation building. We felt "infringed" upon several times with its proximity to the home and the number of people coming and going. The closeness of the gym/recreation building to the home is not reflective of the "private setting" description on VRBO. We would rent this home again if the opportunity arises but only with limitations regarding the separate gym/recreation building.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Darlene, I am glad you enjoyed your time hear and I really sorry about the traffic to the gym area, we normally don't have anything going on down there while we have guests and I am truly sorry, they were told that we have guests at the house and there shouldn't have been cars going back and forth during your stay. I will make sure that we don't have that happen again, please feel free to give us a call and when and if you come back to the area we will be glad to discount your rates for you or a friend you refer to us. The menu is based on the foods that our farmer/neighbors grow: seasonal, and regional. Many of the wines that we feature come from just down the road. We are committed to using the best ingredients, and our menu changes as we move through the seasons of the year. We also believe in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range and chemical free products.
