Welcome to Our Neck of the Woods! This 2 bedroom, 2 bath lakefront townhouse has beautiful lake and mountain views, in the middle of a lush forest. A nice romantic getaway for two or great for families with children.
Relax on the deck overlooking the lake, take out the kayak and relax enjoying the mountain views. Or go to Cashiers or Highlands, just minutes away for some great shopping and lovely meals.
You also have access to Lake Fairfield, a private 65 acre lake for sailing, kayaking, fishing and swimming, it is perfect for an afternoon swim and picnic dinner with great views of Bald Rock Mountain.
At the rec center you can swim, there are three outdoor pools, and one indoor pool. There are 2 hot tubs and 2 wet/dry saunas. You can play putt putt golf, catch up on your email, work out in the gym, look for gems in the gem mine, play tennis, horseshoes or sit back and enjoy watching the children at the playground. There is also an arcade, or arrange for a nice massage, or a tanning bed treatment.
Over at the community center, you can find maps and information about the entire mountain area. They also offer guided nature walks, bingo, wii night and a drum circle. There is a small nature center, a library, internet access and a resturant. Some days you can even get a pancake breakfast! There is a meet and greet each week so you can hear all about the area and what there is to do. This is not a sales pitch, just some good folks that work at the center lending a helping hand to help you get better aquainted with the area so you can enjoy it all.
There are two golf clubs. Red Bird and Sapphire Mountain, both are great. Sapphire Mountain has a great resturant for dinner, brick oven pizza. And some nights, there is even a band for dancing.
Take a ride down the Blue Ridge Parkway, just minutes away. Or just sit back and relax and enjoy the view. Whatever you do, we are sure that you will have a great getaway and will want to come back, most do.

Why the Owner Chose Sapphire
We love the change of seasons. We love the fresh air coming off the mountain and across the lake. These things plus all the activities for the children (and us) led us to purchase this beautiful townhouse in Sapphire Valley.
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
The view and the breeze from the deck across the lake, paddling the kayak out across the lake and looking up at the mountain is relaxing and breathtaking. Things are slower in the mountains and it gives us time to enjoy our family.

Being from Florida with no season changes, we wanted to see the color change first hand. All we can say is incredible. Great view from the back porch, use of the kayak for the kids, and close to everything including the waterfalls.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

Picturesque does not begin to describe the beautiful, serene setting of this rustic townhouse with its large stone fireplace and picture window overlooking the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed a week filled with antiqueing, touring numerous nearby waterfalls, dining out or grilling at home, and taking part in fun activities provided by the community. We've recommended this townhouse to family and friends and would like to repeat our stay in the future.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
