Our star house is a one story on a corner lot only two blocks from the water and within walking/biking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants.
The house is decorated with a southwestern flair. Our dining area table seats 12 and we have had as many as 20 for a sit down meal. The bunk room has two sets of bunks which will sleep 4, the second bedroom has a twin that converts to a king to sleep 2. The master bed is a queen which sleeps 2 with it's own TV. The kitchen is extra large for preparing a gourmet meal and has all the cooking utensils you will ever need. There is also a bar area in the living room which is great for entertaining. A two car covered carport attached to house for your boat or cars. Lots of other street parking as well. It's so cute you will certainly want to return in the future!!
Being a one story, this makes a great winter Texan retreat...no stairs to climb. Walk to water to wade fish. Close to Rockport beach, Port Aransas beach and only 30 minutes to big city of Corpus Christi.

Year Purchased: 2004
My husband Steve and I are from Austin, TX. And discovered Rockport in 2001, got married on July 4 at the famous Stella Maris chapel in Lamar (just across the bridge from Rockport). Being in real estate, I was always taking him to look at vacation homes to buy. We found the star house (it has a big star on front) on July 5 in 2004 and I absolutely fell in love with the house. All our family love to come and stay and it has been a great vacation/winter Texan rental for the past five years. We ended up moving to Rockport permanently in 2006 and love the lifestyle and all the festivals we have. Every day we wake up in paradise!!
Why the Owner Chose Rockport
We chose to buy our second home in Rockport as it has so much to offer, beaches, shopping, restaurants, good investment and only three hour drive from our home in Austin, TX.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We can sit out in the front yard under the palm tree and have our happy hour, take a walk down Water ST and enjoy all the birds. We can also walk or bike to the downtown shops and restaurants. It is a great, cozy getaway with plenty of room for family and friends. We've had lots of good dinner parties here.

My husband and I stayed here over the 4th of July which also happened to be his birthday weekend. It was a wonderful, relaxing time. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. The front yard was perfect for the dogs. The house is located just a couple blocks from the water so we took the dogs down every night to go swimming. You can even wade fish in walking distance. In the evening we walked down to the local restaurants in Rockport which were not crowded and had a great dinner. We will return to catch the Red Fish next time. Thanks again Diane ~ Oh and the house is decorated so cute with lots of interesting knickknacks. See you again, Deb and Tony!

We rented Steve and Diane's home for the weekend with some friends of ours- we had 4 adults and a toddler. This house was perfect. Everything we needed was so close, we had plenty of space in the home, and Diane was so kind and welcoming! The only thing we noticed was lack of wi-fi- which on here, it says it has. To be truthful, though, I was so glad for it to be unavailable- such quality time together! I just wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you, Steve and Diane! Can't wait to come back!
