Escape to a tropical paradise of ponds, waterfalls, pools and decks in our 3 bedroom 2 bath private Rockport retreat. Set on 3 wooded acres, our home offers a duck pond for the kids to fish, a koi pond for reflection, a crawfish pond, and a beautiful pool. It is perfect for the whole family. Mature oaks provide shade and a natural canopy, while the gulf breezes rustle through the palm trees. The new wood deck in the courtyard opens to the pool and is accessible from the master bedroom and kitchen. Feed the koi or catch crawfish with the kids in the backyard. After a day of play, relax in your own private pool.
The master bedroom has a four-poster King canopy pillow top bed, dual closets and a study enclave. The private master bath has a tiled shower tub combination. A second bathroom in the hall contains a standup shower as well. The second bedroom contains a King pillow top bed as well, with bamboo floors and a closet. The bunk room has 6 pillow top twin beds. House sleeps 10 comfortably.
If you enjoy cooking, our gourmet kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances including a commercial six burner stove, microwave, dishwasher and stainless steel refrigerator. The kitchen opens up into a seating area with wood burning fireplace. The formal dining seats eight comfortably and is perfect for family holiday meals. Or if you prefer eating out, the best hamburger we’ve ever tasted is one mile away at Shempy’s Grill.
Rockport has some of the best saltwater fishing in the world, and a public boat ramp is less than a mile away. With easy access to Estes Flats and Aransas Bay, redfish, speckled trout and flounder are just a few minutes from your front door. If birding is your passion, we have seen osprey, blue heron and kingfisher all without leaving the house. The Aransas National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive away and is the summer nesting place of the Whooping Crane.

This was our third stay at this magnificent home. We have never been let down. It is close to Cove Harbor, and we can fish all morning, then return to the house, clean up, and relax! The grounds are so pretty, with the nice pools,and the ponds. We love getting to feed the ducks! My husband gets a real kick out it! The dogs love to visit this home, too...fenced in back yard, and they can just snoop around for as long as they wish. It is a fantastic place to stay! Nearby, we tried Shempy's for burgers, shrimp and oysters...great food. Also, just down the way is Crab N, which is our favorite in the area. This time, we tried the EuroPizza, and were less than impressed with the Med pizza.I will return to this home again. Linda was always very helpful with any questions, etc.You can't go wrong staying here.

I have used vrbo for five years as the source of our family vacation rentals. My experience with this home might cause me to not use vrbo again. The home was older than what the pictures indicated . The ice maker was not working and the refrigerator had the awful smell of fish. We brought ice and attempted to locate the fish smell. The toilet over flowed on our first morning. The owner did request someone to come, but it took 2 phone calls for that to happen. There is a "well built" garbage bin (owner's words) that was completely filled with garbage and would not take anymore. The bin was smelly and came complete with a resident coon. The one garbage can with a lid outside was not useable for storing garbage because the coons would get into it at night. The owner was quite condescending about the entire situation and responded in her email as though these problems were my doing. We had to remove the gargage by taking it back to our private home in our vehicle when we left. A better attitude would have been appreciated! The pool is nice.

My family and I stayed in this home for a week this summer and it was an amazing week for us. We also loved that we could bring our pets with us, as they are a part of our family! The home was wonderful and well stocked with everything that we needed to have a great time. We spent most of our time in the wonderful pool. The pictures don't do justice for this home! We loved every minute of our stay. Working with the owner was simple and enjoyable. We appreciate that they graciously shared their home with us. We already have plans to return next summer. I can't wait!! :)

WE WERE THERE FOR 2 DAYS AND JUST LOVE IT. MY GRANDKIDS LOVED THE FISHING POND, BUT MOSTLY THE SWIMMING POOL BECAUSE IT WAS'NT SO DEEP THEY COULD TOUCH THE GROUND. I RECOMED THIS PLACE TO ANYONE THAT HAS CHILDRED OVER 5. I WILL DEFINTLEY RETURN NEXT YEAR.
