  This "Mountain Retreat" was perfect for our weekend away. This was a last minute trip and Kate couldn't have been more accommodating. We have been to Helen several times and stayed in several different places, this one was amazing! It is extremely spacious, clean, close to town yet seems like you are in the mountains, and well taken care of. This place is located on the 10th hole at Innsbrook Resort and is the perfect place to stay while visiting Helen. The decks around this mountain retreat (all 5) are phenomenal and you can see everything from the mountains to the town of Helen. The deck off of the master bedroom is great to lounge at in the morning with your coffee as you are watching the golfers play. This place was fully stocked with every kitchen item you will ever need, gas grill worked great and the hot tub is extremely nice! Very peaceful! Kate was amazing and I cant wait to go back again! I will definitely recommend this property to my friends and family. Thanks again Kate for being so accommodating and sharing your beautiful home us!!!!

  AMAZING!!! My husband and I wanted a weekend away with our dearest friends before he deployed to Afghanistan and this is where it all happened. This house is gorgeous, exactly like the pictures and more!! The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the whole house was spotless!! There was plenty of room for all 8 of us, including the dog. The scenery was beautiful. We could not get over how reasonable the price was for this house. We did not have to "check-in" or "check-out" with a desk. We were able to go straight to the property and get settled in which was extremely nice. It only took 10 mins to get anywhere we wanted to be. It's right on the golf course. Everything in the house was "user friendly" ie: light switches are labeled, gas logs were one switch away from turning on, the grill was easy to use, the hot tub was ready to go. Above all, the owner was fantastic to work with. After talking to the owner regarding some personal needs, she went out of her way to accomodate us and went over and beyond to make us feel right at home. We could not have asked for a better weekend and as soon as my husband returns home safely, we will be planning our next trip to Helen in this very house again!! BOOK IT and BOOK IT NOW because you will not regret it!!

  My wife and I spent the Christmas holiday with our kids, grandkids, and my Mom. Kate was an excellent communicator and provided great directions, instructions, etc.. We had a problem with the WiFi the night of our arrival, and we called Kate and she contacted the service provider, got me on the phone with the tech support person; and found out that the modem/router was bad. Kate went out and got a new router and delivered it around 9pm that same evening. Not too many owners would go that extra mile that Kate did. We found the property to be everything that was promised, and we had an incredible time during our stay. I would highly recommend this property.

  Twice a year I book this cabin with 3 other couples. It feels like a home away from home. We always use the grill for Friday nights and make breakfast Saturday morning. The cabin is beautiful and Kate has everything that you need there! I keep coming back because I know that I won't be disappointed.

  Mountain retreat is the perfect place to stay while visiting Helen, GA. The home is very spacious and very clean. It is on the 10th hole of the golf course but looking out all of the windows you would think you were back in the woods, very private. Kate was very helpful, this was my first time renting a VRBO and she was great at answering all my questions. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family and hope to be back again in the future. Thanks Kate for sharing your lovely home us!!!!

  We visit Helen every summer and have never had the pleasure to stay in such a beautiful house. There were five adults, two teenagers and two dogs with us this year and it still seemed very spacious. We felt like we were in a tree house when we sat out on one of the back decks. One morning we woke to three adult deer and a fawn in the front yard. I picked ripe wild mountain blackberries on the property to share with my kids. The men spent 8 days fly fishing in the nearby rivers while some of us took the dogs on daily hikes to waterfalls. We finally found our favorite place to stay in Helen.

  Had an amazing time at this Mountain Retreat. The pictures online did not do it justice. It was more than what we expected. We were not disappointed in any way. The house was clean and very well maintained. We would most definitely recommend this location to all of our friends. The owner was very helpful and accomodating. Most important, the price was right for everything that was offered. We would return again and again.

  Our family of seven stayed in the lodge for Christmas 2011. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The cabin had everything we needed from the kitchen tools, the gas grill to the games in the basement. The view is beautiful and every room has plenty of windows and doors to let the outside in. The photos of the cabin accurately show what we enjoyed - plenty of room for us and our dogs. The property is convenient to Helen and the trails that we hiked early on Christmas Eve. When we returned, the hot tub was waiting to sooth those muscles. Gift opening by the fire made for the perfect Christmas in the mountains. Kate promptly answered all of our questions before and during our stay. We highly recommend this cabin!

  10 of us stayed here comfortably for 2 nights. We had no problems cooking in the kitchen, loved the large kitchen table (perfect for game playing) and hot tub out back. The house was very clean and linens were all provided. Walked in the neighborhood and enjoyed the wildlife and golf course. Would recommend this home to anyone!

  We stayed here August 19-21 for the Destination Helen Bike Rally. This cabin served all our needs and the beds were very comfortable. The location is very close to downtown Helen yet secluded enough for those quiet nights. The cabin accomodated 7 of us for the weekend and had plenty of room. I recommend this cabin!
