My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cabin September 11 - 15, 2011. Like other reviews state, the pictures don't do it justice. The view of the mountains is spectacular. The fog in the early morning looked like the mountains were surrounded by the ocean. My husband and I hiked in the woods around the cabin and it was a great escape from hectic day-to-day stresses. The cabin was extremely clean and loaded with extras you wouldn't expect like a crock pot, flat screen TV's, spices, & games galore. There was even a card to use at the local grocery store which was great because we don't have an Ingles where I live. The owner was extremely nice with instructions and it was so nice not having to go to another location to get the key. I will definitely stay here again. Hopefully next time more of my family can come so they too can escape..........Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in your little piece of heaven. I didn't want to leave.

From the drive up the mountain we knew we were in for a treat. The drive up the mountain, unlike most mountain cabins, is paved except for the last 200 feet, which made it very easy to access. We have stayed in several cabins and not only was this the best view, but the cleanliness was beyond reproach and everything was in working order. Relaxing on the deck, playing a board game or cards, enjoying a friendly game of pool or testing your skills on the Wii will keep you occupied if you decide to stay on the mountain. If you ever tire of the phenomenal view (doubtful) there are some good mom and pop restaurants downtown and if you are up for a hike, check out the "Road to Nowhere". For the more adventurous, the Nanatahala Outdoor Center is only 15 minutes away and has white water rafting and zip lining. Bottom line: Great location; wonderful cabin; million dollar views.

When you say it's wayyy up the mountain, you were not joking, the views are great. The cabin is very comfortable and spacious. All the amentities of home, the pool table really got a work out. Outside you can enjoy the hot tub, sit and rock or take a walk up the path and pick black berries. We do anything outdoors so this was the perfect location for us. The NOC is close by, fly fishing, canopy tours as well as the Smoky Mountain Railroad. We will be back soon.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hawks Ridge in Early June of 2011, and for the first time in a long time, got to remember what it was like to relax. We did lots of awesome things, like hiking, white water rafting, and swimming, but our favorite thing to do was just sit on the balcony of the cabin and gaze over one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. After 7 days there, we both felt rejuvenated and were sad to leave, but we know for sure we will be going back!

Hawk's Ridge is an incredible cabin with spectacular views. One cannot truly appreciate this until they witness the beauty firsthand. The dwelling was extremely clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful regarding our stay and provided valuable info about the cabin as well as attractions/activities in the area. We definitely would recommend this property to friends and family.

My husband and I stayed at Hawk's Ridge Hideaway this August. The pictures do not do it justice. The property is absolutely lovely. We really cannot wait to go back. How relaxing to sit on the deck and just enjoy the view. Probably the best Summer vacation spot ever. Really, really relaxing!! We will be back. Thank you so much for sharing this home with us.

From the moment we walked through Hawk Ridge Hideaway's door, we felt at home. Between the comfy furnishings, well-equipped kitchen and sources of entertainment (pool table and wii gaming system was a big plus for our 8 year old), this was truly a home away from home. And talk about serenity - I fell asleep while sitting on the deck rocking chair - twice! The location of this cabin is great - close enough to a lot of activities such as white water rafting, GSM railroad and tubing, but not close to the neighbors. Tubing was so much fun that we did it on 2 separate days. BTW there's a Verizon cell phone tower nearby so we had constant cell phone service. A cute rabbit also visited us every morning in the driveway. We recommend this property not only because of how awesome it is, but also because of the owner who was very helpful and friendly. You won't regret renting this cabin.

My family and I stayed in this cabin in Jan. 2010 for 4 wonderful nights and all we can say is WOW!! This cabin is the most beautiful cabin we have ever been in. We had the most memorable experiences and family vacation and hope to come back next year. EVERYTHING about Hawks Ridge is “5 stars”!! I only wish we could have had a day of nothing to do so we could have just lounged around the cabin all day… Thanks for opening your home to us. Until next time….

We just spent last weekend of September 2009 at Hawks Ridge Hideaway. Everything at your cabin was wonderful. The views were amazing. We will recommend this to anyone who needs a little peace of heaven and relaxation. I could never express how happy we were with everything. We did not want to leave. Hope we can stay again maybe next year.
