Head out of the building and turn left: in a couple of blocks you're on Ipanema. Turn right, and within three or four it's Copacabana. Amazing location! Also good for Ipanema's gay life, which is an easy and relatively safe walk away. And you don't have to leave the flat to see the sea. Furnishings basic yet adequate, as was the kitchenette, and all spotlessly clean. Recommended.

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed for 3 days, wished we could have stayed longer. 3 min walk to the beach or to Fasano and Astor which are some of the best and hip places to be and to be seen in town. It is tucked away enough that it feels like u need a journey through the city to get somewhere, yet it still feels close. We loved the mattress, comfy. Easy to clean floors. Feels like a hotel room, yet it is an apt. A+++

We stayed in Ana's studio in Ipanema and had a fantastic time. The apartment was wonderful, exactly as described. The proximity to Ipanema beach, Copacabana beach, and everything in the vicinity was great; we could walk to everything. Ana was great, the doormen were nice and extraordinarily helpful, we will definitely contact Ana again when we return to Rio.

I stayed in Rio de Janeiro for 3 weeks at this fantastic apartment in August 2008. The location of the apartment is unbeatable mainly because of its proximity to the beach, dining, shopping and nightlife. I personally think that it is located in the safest area of Rio's south zone. The apartment is clean, spacious and nicely renovated with a bit of an ocean view. Ana Carolina herself is extremely kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this studio!

I loved staying in your lovely modern and well-situated apartment! It's so airy and bright and well-maintained.. I felt really safe with the friendly and helpful 24-hour doorman watching the building and the location just between Ipanema, Arpoador and Copacabana was so convenient. It's easy to navigate the area too.. There is a supermarket close by as well. Thanks for lending me the cell phone with SIM card while I was in Rio, too! I appreciate your overall professionalism and especially in regardst to checking in and out of the apartment. I had never arranged an apartment rental in another country from my own through vrbo before and it went very smoothly! It was so nice to meet you and I do love Rio! I can't wait to come back soon! "Amoureux de cette ville, nous voici pour la 5°fois à Rio. Cet appartement est IDEALEMENT placé, entre IPANEMA et COPACABANA à 2 pas de la plage d'Ipanéma. TRES CALME (rare à Rio !) Immeuble sécurisé avec gardien. La propriétaire Anna (à qui vous pouvez faire entière confiance) programme quelques aménagements supplémentaires après notre départ ce qui rendra ce studio de 40 m2 environ encore plus agréable. Location à recommander."

Adoro ficar nesse apartamento quando venho passar tempo no Rio a trabalho ou, melhor, de férias ! Localização otima, silencioso, a praia tão perta...I love to stay in the studio when I go to Rio for work and when I have some vacations, even better. It is in a great place, very close to the beach, very quiet, very relaxing.

We had a great time in Rio and the apartment was just perfect. A really safe neighbourhood and one of the best locations anyone could have wanted. We also had a fantastic time with Luciano who drove us around to see all the important places and also pointed out were the shops and good restaurants were. He was very helpful, easy to be with, and he spoke excellent English. I'm very pleased that my son and his girlfriend are now going to Rio and that I can recommend your flat to them. I can tell you that they will take the very best care of it.
