Hello and welcome to America's "Real Mayberry", Mt Airy North Carolina!! This home is where my wife grew up and we have just recently put it on the vacation rental market. We have noticed when visiting Mt Airy that there are always 100's of people from all over the United States (and world) captivated with Andy Griffith and Andy memorabilia.
You must visit downtown Mt Airy and experience Mayberry at its finest. From "Floyd's Barber Shop", "Snappy Lunch", to TV Lands tribute statue to Andy and Opie, and the "Andy Griffith Playhouse", there are many things to do here in small town America. Mt Airy is just like turning back a page in time from 50 years ago.
There are many historical attractions in Mt Airy and over 20 festivals throughout the year. There are over 25 wineries in the Yadkin Valley Region
The well kept Carolina Split-level home is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath all brick home on a well manicured 1 acre lot. It is situated in a lovely family style neighborhood. Our home is decorated nicely and has pictures and memories from the Andy Griffith show. The home is located about 5-7 minutes from downtown Mt Airy and centrally located to shopping, grocery stores, and HWY 52. It is just 20 minutes from I-77. It has a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with Carolina pine cabinets, a separate dining and living room, and the lower level has a TV and nice fireplace for you to build those cozy fires on a fall or winter night. The upper level has 3 bedrooms, 1 with a Queen size bed, and the other 2 bedrooms come with double size beds. There is also a couch in the downstairs den that can be slept on.
There is an outdoor patio with eating area, for summer, spring, and fall enjoyment. The home sits on a beautifully landscaped one acre lot! All linens and towels are provided.
Stop by Wally's Service Station and arrange a ride in a exact replica of Andy's squad car!! The original Thelma Lou now lives in Mt Airy. You may see her downtown taking a walk.
Mt. Airy North Carolina, voted "America's favorite small southern town"!!
