Our unique home is located in a private community with beach access just 600 feet from the front door. The ship's watch provides limited views of the ocean while you sip your early morning coffee and the decks allow for relaxation while enjoying the cooling wash of the ocean breezes.
With this reverse floor plan, the comfort of the third floor living area is enhanced by the views and the amenities of the well appointed kitchen. The quiet of the first floor bedrooms guarantee a peaceful night of sleep to prepare the next day's activities. Our two master suites with king-size beds (one with jacuzzi tub), one bedroom with a queen and a children's room with single bed and trundle and bunk beds are roomy and comfortable.
The community has two pools: one located just a few steps from our home on the beachside and one located on the soundside with panoramic views of the sound to admire. The soundside of the community boasts a children's beach and a boat ramp from which to launch small craft. There is also a pier jutting 120 feet into the sound with a gazebo from which to crab or simply enjoy the spectacular sunsets. The beachside has two tennis courts and a small children's playground.
The community is a family-oriented retreat and just a short distance away, in fact, a reasonable biking distance, from the village of Duck which can be explored for that special vacation treasure. The fine foods of the local restaurants can be sampled as well. Duck offers a variety of rentals including personal watercraft, bikes, and other beach necessities.
Our home is welcoming to the family seeking to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks, all the offerings of our community and the quaint villages from Duck to Corolla. The fishing is terrific and swimming and other water sports in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean are enjoyed from May through October.
