6 of us cycled to this house to stay at while we explored the Galloping Goose trail for a couple of days. By the time we settled into this beautiful beach front house however, we seriously thought about abandoning our cycling plans to just stay and enjoy all the house and its location had to offer. It is so well equipped, so clean and tidy, and offers everything you could want and more. We did force ourselves to leave for a few hours of cycling, and all looked forward to returning to enjoy the late afternoon sun on the deck, the ocean views, the well equipped kitchen, and those cozy, comfy beds and pillows. This house would easily accommodate 3 or 4 couples, yet still feels quaint and cozy too. Sandgate Beach House was just perfect for our girls get away; thanks so much for all the memories we created here!!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

This is a wonderful home in a beautiful location. We are four retired couples who spent four nights here at the end of April. The house is well designed and equipped. And it is right on the bay and beach, affording views of the sunrise, beach, ships passing by, Victoria, and the Olympic Mountains in Washington. We cooked quite a bit and the kitchen was large and well set up for group cooking. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the deck and used the exercise equipment downstairs. In the afternoon, there was sun on the back patio. There were great parks in the area for hiking and bird watching, and it was only about 25 minutes from downtown Victoria. This rental looked good online and then exceeded our expectations. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

My family from various locations in Canada and the US met here for a family reunion. The occasion was my son's convocation at the University of Voctoria. We were 8 people and had plenty of room. The house is exactly as presented here as are the grounds and beach and was easy to find. The house is equipped with very nice linens as well as all of the kitchen appliances and utensils you would need. Also very clean. It was an easy commute into Victoria and also to Sooke for hiking. We loved the hottub which has an extraordinary view of the ocean and we used the bikes and kayaks too! It is a beautiful location and we had a wonderful time.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I were married here a few years back. It was an ideal location with a lot of things for the guests to do (kayak, bike ride, volleyball, hot tub, etc) The kids loved the loft.We spent time swimming at Matheson Lake, just a few kilometres away.Very beautiful spot! The owners were extremely helpful and kind. We want to go back with a few friends for our anniversary. We'd recommend this location to anyone looking to get away from it all. It's a nice, quiet location and not a big "party" area.Just what we wanted.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
